We’ve recently acquired this “heirloom” from my wife’s family. There is a power switch on the bottom of the machine that will turn on all the lights. How do we start the pinball game? I’d assume there is someway to bypass the coin slot? Any help is much appreciated!

There is a way to put it on 'free play', but it involves bending one of the contacts in the head. once it's on free play (or the credit wheel in the head has credits on it), hitting the left button should start a game. Dropping a coin in, or opening the coin door and pushing the coin switch closed by hand, should also start a game.

Make sure there are credits showing on the credit wheel window (1 credit or more) - the small window in the middle of the backglass. If there are no credits, open the back door and gently rotate the credit wheel to add credits. Then press the credit/start button to the left of the coin door to reset the machine and start a game. Once the machine has reset, press the credit/start button again to add the 2nd, 3rd and 4th player, if needed. Shoot the ball into the playfield with the ball shooter rod at the upper right of the cabinet. Game ball should begin scoring points. Enjoy!

Ok - so we think it’s already on free play - just can figure what we need to do to start a game.

Credits show 15
When the machine is turned on, should there be any motors or sound along with it? Ours just turns on the lights - nothing else.

In that case, just hit the red button on the left side of the front of the cabinet. Should reset the scores and kick the ball out

Hi Jeff, Welcome to pinside!

If the Credit Button switch doesn't activate the Credit Unit reset solenoid, Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires. Starting with the circled switch on the Credit unit

Do you have the schematic for the game? With EM pinballs, having the schematic will help in the debug of issues.
