I did the “stand up” trick with my resistors...just leave one lead straight and bend the other one back on itself, almost 180 degrees. Shove them into the holes. Worked great.
I went with JLCPCB for my boards. I got 5 blank boards shipped for a total of around $30. Couldn’t be happier.
