I've shopped out hundreds of games in my time but I'd like to move into more advanced cleaning and restoration. Does anyone have any recommendations for tools to help equip my shop?

    I'm thinking:

    - Bandsaw
    - Grinder
    - Polisher
    - Vibrating Polisher
    - Ultrasonic cleaner
    - Airbrush
    - HVLP Sprayer

    etc.

Perhaps we can document a list of tools here to help those who want to go to that next level.

Only slightly off-topic, but pinrestore.com is a great resource as far as supplies, and some niche tools (rivet presses, staple guns, etc).

Q-tips and cleaner of your choice. The Q-tip is on of the best inventions ever, have to have them after a shower for my ears, and have to have them to clean the back of inserts.

Quick clamps & pipe clamps. Adjustable saw horses. Quality shop lighting.

Aside from what has been mentioned, a dremel tool, different grades of sandpaper, long and short screwdrivers, and a magnetic dish.

    Here's a win/win idea for you and your spouse/GF.
Grab a bernzomatic butane micro-torch for flame polishing your ramps, (and for heating up tools, when you need to poke a hole in plastic)
My GF was thrilled when I said I'd be buying one to make a chocolate creme brulee with her.
Win/Win - tasty outcome, and we cooked together. Good stuff.

    Quoted from Skins:

    pipe clamps

I know people use "long" pipe clamps for the length of the cabinet and "short" for the width, but what lengths of pipe would you recommend getting? (I'll likely be starting with a B/W widebody, but would like to end up with a set that'll work for pretty much any pinball cabinet). Thanks!
