A wave of panic swept over me. My wife, at the machine next to me was busy with her own game.
She will think I'm a mad man. She doesn't know. She won't understand. What have I done?
I finished my game, pretending nothing had happened. Our eyes met, she gave me a knowing smile and went back to her game.
