Bonzai Lionman You Mother BULL SURFER !!!!
I think I'm going to convert my machines to LIONMAN! tokens. I miss dropping coins. Probably going to have to simplify the image, but this is the rough draft.
I requested .900, but I'm just getting started in the process. I'll post more once I have information. Having said that I'm willing to share the design and split orders, so suggestions are welcome. As stated before, I'm quite sure the LIONMAN! will have to be much simpler. I just used that as a filler.
Quoted from Whysnow:
looks good to LIONMAN!
what is the pin-fury for?
No real reason. I think it balances where the word "Liberty" is on a quarter. Although I think it sounds like a cool name for a tournament with a tie back to Swords of Fury. Perhaps if I start hosing a local tournament for friends it will be Pin-Fury! That way I can create some posters. LIONMAN!
EDIT: No idea why that one saved lighter. That's the actual color all of them have been on my original. Not sure why that one finally saved correctly.
The Cutout artistic filter of Photoshop should be able to make it more simple. I quickly did this with an image I found that looks similar to your LIONMAN!!!

I know frolic made some custom tokens for his arcade (which he uses for charity coin drop parties). Most of your cost isn't the actual coins, it's the setup and dies. For example, at a minimum 1,000 token buy it's only $267 (.27 cents each token):
However there is a $150 setup fee, plus a $195-up custom die fee. Factoring those costs in, the first 1,000 are going to cost 61 cents a piece (plating nickel adds a little more).
You'll need to convert that image to a vector, let me know if you need help.
Yeah, I actually have the vector of the LIONMAN! but I'm not sure that's going to be enough. I've sent it off to an artist to see if they can create something similar, but if anyone wants to give it a shot I'd welcome it. I figured this might actually be a design others might be interested in. Hoping I might be able to do an order of 5000 split between a few people. Maybe it won't work out, but it's a fun project.

I would guess if you made a plan to donate all proceeds to JDRF and set up for minimum orders of 100 at $100 then you could get enough people to LIONMAN up to get a run done.
Assuming we get a couple thousand ordered it could make a grand for charity pretty quickly.
I would buy a 100 for the cause and assume at least 20-30 other people would also?
I wasn't planning on any proceeds, but we could setup something for charity if that would make people feel better about ordering. The challenge now will be coming up with a simplified line drawing. If anyone has drawing skills it would be very LIONMAN to have options.
Pending costs. I've sketched out a version of this tattoo with LIONMAN! in script replacing the Leo. Think it works since it's a tail.
I didn’t some looking into the tokens once. The custom die cost is per side. So your better off going with a stock die for the back. I run tokens in my games and the standard metal mech can be easily modified to accept .900. Plus no slot modifications. .800 is a bit small and less common. Anything bigger I found may need slot modification.
Hans from siegecraft has custom tokens made with two sides custom. Is his business card. He was selling 100 for $25-30 for a while. I would be in for some tokens. But I think 100 for $100 might be on the high side.
According to that chart. 5000 tokens with one side custom would cost $880. That advoids the setup of LIONMAN.
So that .176 per token. You could charge .25 per token and still make charity. Or just group buy. Plus I wouldn’t be that sad when someone walks away with one. I normally give a siegecraft token to any kids first visit to the house. This would be better.
At .2 500 tokens would cost $100. Get 10 people in on that and your good.
We'll they aren't any cheaper from China. I just sent Hoffman Mint an email. Thinking perhaps this stock token could work as the tails side. If the above costs are correct I'd be willing to to purchase 500 or 1000. It would reduce the LIONMAN costs if we could have an initial order of 5000.
Quoted from snakesnsparklers:
Needs some good claws otherwise it implies house cat. Somehow just doesn't embody LIONMAN to me.
I'm pretty sure it's a lion claw used for zoo tokens, but perhaps not a true LIONMAN. If we want something custom that's fine; but otherwise we need to just choose from this list. I'm pretty flexible if others who will actual order have strong feelings. I'd be fine with any of the "no cash value", $.25, 1, video game token, etc.
I think you should make the edges of the tokens look like Aladdins Castle tokens. Love the look of those. SO much that I bought 4000 of them for my arcade. Havn't converted it over yet, because I need enough cradles to go around. :/ LIONMAN!!!!!!!!!!
Based on the chart if we can get a group order of 3000 is slightly cheaper than 5000. So. If a stock back die is fine with everyone and custom die cost are reasonable. I’m defibitly in for 500 LIONMAN at $100. I’ll ask the rest of the central group.
I have about 1000 - 1500 tokens and that’s plenty for a party with about 18 Games taking them. Skee ball always wins. It’s a good popularity meter. I’ll do a video on converting a mech for tokens.
