Quoted from yancy:Wife spotted this out with the neighbor's trash, so it looks like I own a Zizzle now. Might be fun to repair and give to some kid I don't like.
LIONMAN!!! Is it HUO? It's hard to tell with the head folded down.

Swords of Fury gets the CPR translite-to-backglass treatment, with our ongoing mission to provide a nicer option to traditional paper translites.
SoF owners now have the option to switch to this replacement mirrored backglass, done as an original creation to turnkey fit any SoF backbox. Our vision of what a SoF backglass "may have been" , had it been produced back in the day by Williams.
Gallery is up, with production commentary included.

That looks awesome! Wish I could get a new playfield though!
At the risk of angering CPR and the lionman faithful, the new SOF backglass appears to be missing some art. It's like the contrast knob was cranked to the max, and brightness turned way down. There's no flame on the left cauldron, and no differentiation between the smoke and the background. "None more black," as Spinal Tap says. Maybe a front-lit photo would help.
Not sure if I agree with the decision to change the jackpot numbers, either. All those little X,000,000 look the same at a distance. I much prefer the original 1 million, 2 million, etc.
Haters gonna hate, don't look a gift horse in the mouth, etc. Sorry.
LIONMAN!!! My vote is if CPR is remaking the SoF translite into a backglass, just copy the original. A wise man once said, don't change the Mona Lisa. He also said LIONMAN!!!
They used my original and yes it is the original. The other you refer to is a prototype or sample. They didn't change the numbers or the design of them

photos of your original please LIONMAN!
I believe cpr when they say there are usually a few versions of things(colors, verbiage, etc.), some people only know the version they're familiar with. Lionman be with you

I can't argue with most of what you point out, but at the same time, I prefer nearly every decision they made on the backglass version. All the gray area looks terrible on the translite. The flame on the left looks okay to me, but I'm seeing that a single, center light source is making more sense of the shadows in the artwork. Overall it looks more menacing (the face looks way better in that regard than what is on my translite), which I know isn't the preference for everyone.
