Line Filter (resized).jpg

Hello,

I'm looking to replace the Line Filter on my Williams System 7 Cosmic Gunfight. I can't seem to find a replacement for the Corcom F2795 EMI Filter that is currently installed. I don't know much about these and am wondering if I can just replace it with another 115/250V, 5A 60Hz filter?

I found one on Marco and the same one on Mouser that I think might work but just wanted to confirm before I swap it out.

Here is the link to the one on Marco/Mouser:
https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/EL50
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Delta-Electronics/05DKAG5?qs=%2FW4LtXOBxKsL3v%252BzSmlhaQ%3D%3D

I've attached a picture of the current one I'm wanting to replace.

Could someone please let me know if this should work?

Thanks!

ATAX

Yes, as long as the voltage rating is correct for your area and it exceeds 5 amp capacity - pretty much all of them do.

Ok thanks! Good to know.

I was also going to replace the varistor on that as well. The ones I see online for purchase have bare wires and I’m wondering what the best thing is to shield the exposed wires? The current one in the picture has the “red sleeves” on the wires.

Again, I’m new to this so appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

You can just reuse the silicone sleeves

Shrink tubing. Cut to needed length, slip over leads, shrink with lighter, solder into place.
