Just picked up a line drive that needs quite a bit of work. Besides the flaking backglass, and the white painted cabinet, the playfield needs quite a bit of work. The laminate has several gouges in it, small enough that they're not extremely noticeable, but still noticeable enough. It was covered up by the previous owner who effectively had paper cut out for the dirt and bases and then a sheet of mylar/ tape over the whole thing.

I'm trying to figure out what to do to with the playfield. The way I see it, I have three options. Though all of them still require me to repaint the artwork.
1. Replace the whole lamiante sheet with a custom matched new laminate sheet
2. Fill the gouges, and repaint the entire playfield
3. Leave it as is

Wanted to hear thoughts and opinions or other options. I like to keep things original, but this thing has enough cabinet damage that it'll need to get repainted. The backglass had some shoddy touchups done and sealed to it, plus the flaking that's got a 6x3" spot on the glass. So originality is sorta out the door, and I'm just going for a full blown restoration.
