We lost an American icon.
I saw Jerry lee (opening) and little Richard in the Bronx about 20 years ago.
Jerry lee played country for 40 minutes and then labored through great balls and shaking for us. He seemed to be about 100 years old.
Then little Richard came out there like a tornado and blew the roof off the place. It was amazing!
Quoted from cottonm4:Tutti Frutti.
I was thinking that. A song he made up as a dish washer. Part of his early performing career and with friends in the industry. Then cleaned up when it was recorded.
Quoted from cottonm4:I think this leaves Jerry Lee Lewis as about the only one of that era still living.
That is it. Near the end of a musical era.
