Strato Flite - unit was working fine when a A 23-600 solenoid coil in the back near scoring wheels overheated. Shut the unit down . Replaced the coil. Lights on rear panel and playfield work but hitting the reset button does nothing. The 4 fuses near the front of the cabinet are good.

Where should I start to chase this down ?

Quoted from Hogball:

the reset button does nothing

If the Replay button doesn't activate the Replay relay, inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires.

Thanks for the direction. I'm a novice with schematics. What is the item just upstream of the Replay Button?
When the Replay Button is pressed, does this close the Replay Stepup just downstream of the Replay Button?
What closes the Game Over relay?

If by "upstream" you mean to the left, it's this switch on the motor.

If by "downstream", you mean to the right, the answer is No. That switch opens when this stepper unit gets to zero and is closed otherwise.

One likely path is turning the machine on from power off, through this switch on the Lock relay

If there is no power on the left side of the Replay Button, does that mean there is an issue with the Reset relay?
What is the purpose of the Lock relay?
Does the it affect power to the Replay button?

Thanks for the welcome to the site and the help on this issue. Awesome to have enthusiast to help newbies. My wife wanted a pinball machine for years - reliving her childhood so the kids bought this unit for Mother's Day. Had a lot of fun with it but need to figure out how to address the issues which will inevitably arise with a unit of this vintage.
