Any suggestions on how to light up the topper of my Maverick? I see some people have put modified their toppers, but I'm not having much luck finding guides on what they used and how they did it?

Depends you can use 5mm LED or depending on what you want to do back lighting you can use comet matrix system and run it of the GI ...
Attached picture is matrix ... with 2 flashers not activated
