hello, I'm in the middle of cleaning up a system 9, I bought a few months back.
I had a paragon that I spent a lot of time on rebuilding, cleaning etc...
everything worked initially, then I put it at a location and after a few months the lights start acting up.

So I decided with older games that if the sockets look like ass, I'll just replace them all.
for this current game I'm working on, it's pretty much all of them.

Problem is these sockets are connected to a row and attached to a metal... rail?
didn't want to attempt to pop one off and not be able to get it back on with no replacement.
seems like a good majority are like this.

    thanks

Unless you own a rivet press, you won't be able to apply enough pressure to rebuild them by hand.

Individual sockets is the next best thing.

If there is only one flaky socket in the strip, I will usually solder the barrel to the strip (similar to the fix for bally lamp sockets).

Your sockets look very crusty though, and you're probably better off going to individual sockets with a wire to replace the "strip" holder.

I know its not a permanent fix, but I lost the spring inside the socket and soldered a wire to the end of the lamp and then affixed the other end to the diode.

    Temporary...
