So my Judge Dredd has a side plastic that has a "lift" in it. I've looked at others posts, and I don't see this as a normal thing on a lot of machines. I'm assuming it is there so that if the ball hops off the playfield, it doesn't get stuck. It is, however, scratching the art on the underside of the plastic. Is this normal? It appears as though it's set in a pretty decent fitting embedded into the frame of the playfield, but it still seems odd. Anyone else have this on their JD?

That's exactly how mine is and I just asked my wife this weekend if she thought it looked right.

Looks like it was done to keep the plastic off the wire form and flipper.

Good to know - I'm planning on putting some felt or something over the screw to prevent more_ scuffing of the plastics, wish that they hadn't used a phillips screw underneath with sharp edges.

It's so the ball doesn't get stuck on the plastic and the wireform. When I had mine the plastic was scratched too. Not sure is there is a plastic protector set for that, felt is probably the best option.
