Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:This is 100% true and brings up other valid points. Jurassic Park has been on sale for what, 6 months now? It has already outsold games like Batman 66, Aerosmith, Game of Thrones, Guardians, Game of Thrones, Munsters, Black Knight, and (surprise surprise) WWE.
If you really want to dork out since we actually know the production limit on Primus (100) and 19 are claimed on pinside, you can reasonably guess that pinside has data on about 20% of games in existence. This would put the production run on some of these games like Ghostbusters up to almost (bad) Williams release numbers.
You can’t extrapolate that last point with such a tiny sample. Pinside is very likely an anomalous data set anyway
Further, the market is hot right now, and Stern is spending more money marketing the recent games. JP being a big seller is no surprise to me - it’s a fairly wide-reaching theme. Whole Families can get into it in a way that perhaps Batman is never going to be able to match
IMDN is kind of a shock though - 900+ games sold? That seems high in relation to the other themes - just my expectations
