Attached is a picture of our new manufacturing prototype Lexy Lightspeed playfield module. For your chance at a free P3 t-shirt, please respond by identifying one (and only one) item that's new / different from our last prototype.

Limit: 1 guess of 1 item per person The first person to correctly identify each item will receive a free P3 t-shirt. When all items are identified, I'll post the full list.

Hmmm....I don't think I've seen the artwork around the 4 lights on the back wall above the targets in the upper right hand corner before. They kind of look like playing cards with alien heads on them.

#3 5 years ago

Looks like a printed plastic behind the screen

#4 5 years ago

One arrow insert instead of 2?

#5 5 years ago

One Detention Center arrow insert arrow instead of two.

D'oh... 37s too late.

Round standups to the right of the Detention Center instead of rectangles.

#7 5 years ago

Oh, you're using solid cast flipper bats instead of the two-part assemblies AND THEY FEEL AWESOME! Or wait, that's not in this picture...

The mini LCD looks like a different mounting assembly.

#8 5 years ago

Single standup by the left ramp is now round instead of square.

Winner! It's actually the entire backpanel artwork that's new, but your answer is good enough. They're not playing cards. If you look underneath them, you can see the poles. They're standup shooting range-type targets, but yes... with alien heads.

Winner! Good eye. I though that one would take longer to get noticed. It's printed with construction area warnings as it's resting above construction zone p/f artwork.

Quoted from winteriscoming:

The previous proto has a single arrow. Sorry.

Quoted from pinlynx:

The previous proto also had all round standups. Sorry.

Quoted from Law:

Winner!

There's a bunch more. I'll reach out to all of the winners for addresses and shirt sizes when more/all are identified. In the meantime, winners should feel free to PM me their info pre-emptively.

Yeah, I can see that now, nice detail there.

Previous standups were blue in front of the pop bumpers?

I'm cheatin'.... I see new clear plastics on the Left Ramp.

So... 5 days until Public showing in Austin?

#13 5 years ago

Wish I could make it to a play-test party...

Maybe I just missed a previous pic, but this is the first time I've seen playfield artwork.

#15 5 years ago

Rory... fly to DFW for TPF in March.

#16 5 years ago

Tempting... 0.0

I'll be there in spirit for sure (at TPF that is .

I don't see the crocodile plastic in the top left corner, but that may not be intentional...

Sorry - the targets are completely unchanged from last year's prototype p/f.

Winner! Lol - we owe you much more than a t-shirt!

Quoted from boogies:

Sorry - the p/f artwork was on last year's p/f.

Quoted from Mocean:

Hmm... not sure what to do about this one. The croc plastic had never been used before, but it *is* on this p/f. It's just really hard to see because the prototype ramp is a bit frosted. It's in the left corner under the ramp. I'll give you a t-shirt anyway.

Quoted from RCernuda:

Rory will be well represented at TPF, whether in person or just via his fantastic work.

Is the screen mounted differently?

#20 5 years ago

white border screen print around the left ramp and left scoop as opposed to wood grain, same as the pops

by the way looks awesome - nicely done with the backboard graphic and lighting.

#21 5 years ago

Oops! I was comparing to the last render of the upper playfield, not the last physical build!

Already identified

Quoted from swinks:

Winner! Well... I'm assuming you meant right ramp and scoop.

yes I did sorry, bit dyslexic this morning lol

Looks like some kind of lever on the right side near the front edge of the playfield. A hold-down of some sort?

Winner! Nice one.

Let's make Friday night at midnight CST the deadline for additional guesses.

BTW - If any of you will be in or near Austin, TX this Saturday, you can play the P3 with this new playfield during our open house:

Now that the contest is over, here's a complete list of changes since the previous proto LL-GG p/f:

- Backpanel artwork
- P/F artwork has white feature borders
- New housing for mini-LCD
- Clear plastic ceiling on ramp entrance
- Clear plastic keepout on upper left of ramp
- Alligator plastic in back left corner (under ramp)
- Construction zone plastic behind mini-LCD
- Weapons plastic behind pops
- Command center plastic behind right scoop
- New latching bracket beside the wall/scoop assembly

If you missed last weekend's test-party video, you can see the two playfields in action, side-by-side:

All winners can PM me a size and mailing address for their t-shirt.
