I'm in the process of overhauling my No Fear machine and currently have the playfield stripped down as I'm replacing the ramps with a new set from Starship Fantasy. While doing this I'm also giving it a thorough cleaning and the amount of grime that gets in the rear orbit and drop zone areas are making me think a playfield protector of some kind might be a good idea. These areas are both hard to get at without stripping the playfield down a lot and I'm concerned about wear spots forming in em.

At the same time I know the playfield is Diamond plate, so would it actually help at all compared to the clear coat that's on the playfield already?
