I ordered and received a BK2000 set recently direct from Germany (new PETG type).
The main playfield plastic has a long narrow plastic section that extends up the lane into the ball lock. This narrow
area of plastic was damaged in shipping (bent up). I didn't bother to contact the plastic supplier as I wasn't sure
I would accomplish much trying to get a replacement from Germany and wasn't sure if it was their issue or the shipping
companies so I grabbed a hair dryer and attempted to heat it up and flatten it as best I could. Its not perfect, but its
located under the upper playfield and never really seen during gameplay.
I love the way it looks, I haven't put any ball time on it yet as I am just finishing a few small mechanical things on it
yet but look forward to trying it in gameplay.

Quoted from FlippyD:

I ordered one of the new Lexan protectors for my IJA off of EBay. Unfortunately it arrived with shipping damage and I could not install it. The Playfield Protector people were extremely quick to help me get a replacement! Top notch customer service!
That being said, I hope a US distributor gets the new Lexan ones. Shipping a thin, flat, lightweight thing is always gonna have a chance of crumple damage but having it be in transit for a month definitely increases those chances.
Has anyone else who ordered direct from Germany had any shipping damage issues? I hope it was just some bad luck.

Quoted from MT45:

Does it make the colors pop the way CC does? Also ... does it hide minor PF imperfections in artwork? I'll be painting black keylines around inserts before adding mine and sometimes black is very hard to match perfectly due to fading etc. CC can help to mask some of that ...

I think the gloss of the plastic enhances the LOOK of the colour...probably similar effect of clearcoat, but I don't think it will "hide" any imperfections other than "levelling" areas that may have cupped inserts etc. to make for a flatter surface.

Also, a positive nod to Frank from Playfield Protectors. He contacted me directly thru PM shortly after I posted my previous message on here. Seems like a class act and thats nice to see these days when buying pinball accessories. Thanks Frank.
