Looks great! I thought about doing this to a machine or two. I'd like to know how well it holds up to scuffs and scratching over time.

I have a protector coming tomorrow to throw onto my Dr. Who. I'm going to go ahead and put down new insert decals ahead of time and it should come out looking great.

This was great for Dr Who. I put on insert decals and used this to protect them. Easy.

Not sure what that is, exactly, but did you clean off any wax before putting the protector on? Even a fresh coat of wax will flake off under the protector. It would be best to just have the playfield very clean, no wax.

Quoted from Level3623:

Interesting but I didn't wax Ghostbusters and same thing is happening. I'm going to pull up the Wh20 and take a look under. I'm thinking they may be air bubbles.

Ah, they very well could be. Parts of it might be sticking down, which is causing some bubbling. As long as it's harmless, it can be worked around.

I'm sort of with CrazyLevi in that I don't think a new game in a home environment will get significant enough punishment to need one of these, but if they make you feel better about things, have at it. For games with sunken, raised, or cupped inserts, these protectors can be a godsend, however.

When I'm on the way home I make sure to call ahead to make my wife and kids turn on all the machines, credit them all up with one player, put my beverage of choice next to each game, and then they are to wait in the upstairs bedrooms until I'm done playing. I don't want to walk into the house and have to do anything but walk straight to the game I want to play and start. No wasted time, no slowing me down. When I'm done, I will also start yelling for them to come and turn the games off while I continue to play so I can use every last second of available time in active play. I have my wife hold her hand on the power switch and as soon as I'm done, I say, "it is finished," and she powers it down. From there I know that my Netflix show is already loaded and on pause. I know that a new drink is ready and a snack is within my reach as I sit on the couch.

This is how I live. Get on my level.
