    Ahoy team,

What is the best way to level the playing field? Both to make it level and to prolong the life of the field, cabinet, machine, etc.? How do the professionals level fields?

My technique so far has been to remove the glass, place a 1-foot bubble level at various spots on the playfield, and adjust the height of the feet at the bottom of the legs of the machine accordingly. The feet end up at different heights (with maybe 1" of difference across the four legs), but the playfield is now mostly level left-to-right at the top, middle and bottom.

I'm wondering if there's a better, faster, more professional, safer, smarter, etc. way to do this. I don't want to damage or warp anything.

For reference, my machine is a Gottlieb Pioneer from 1976.
