    Quoted from Crazybanana:

The mods here are way out of whack.

As a moderator on a different forum I think that you do not have any clue what it takes to do the job. Pinside is very well moderated. The people doing it are volunteers and spend a lot of their free time keeping this place running. Do they make bad decisions from time to time? yes. It happens. When you look at all of the posts, all of the moderation actions, and all of the choices that are made, the vast majority of them are correct and timely.

That being said, there are pins that are not family friendly. I would love to have a Sexy Girl in my collection. There are others with art in the backglass and on the playfield that is questionable. How do we deal with those if Pinside if fully "family friendly"?

    Quoted from robin:

    1. Pinside is first and foremost a pinball site.
    2. It's also supposed to be family friendly.

Looking at the history of pinball, it has almost always been on the more mature side of things. Many of the EMs had pinup girl themes that by current standards are not family friendly. It was not until the video game era that it became toys and movie themes. You need to set the line on what is acceptable and what is not. Is Sexy Girl? Are any of the Playboy themed machines? If there is a Suicide Girls machine produced, is it automatically excluded from discussion?

What is your definition of family friendly? How has this been communicated to your moderators? Are all of you on the same page?

Leaving things to the "I know it when I see it" test will cause nothing but problems.
