    Jmho:

    1- pinside is a great site;
    2- moderators do an excellent job overall;
    3- like any community, there is a bell curve on the respectful/obnoxious spectrum, and it's fine to try and push behavior towards the former on purpose rather than let it drift towards the latter
    4- consistent application of standards is not a goal in and of itself; it is fair for a moderator to consider individual cases and reach inconsistent conclusions.
    5- for contributors who post metric tons of useful information and make a reasonable effort to self censor, a ban is a bad idea. If any particular post is too base or graphic, removal is adequate.

    A huge thanks to Robin, the moderators, and the community for making Pinside great.
