As in all things moderation is the key. A little salty language or skin wont hurt anyone but there can be a tipping point. There is nothing wrong with a little course correction. Just as in society just remember that most people are decent, nice folks. There will always be a few troll/troublemakers but that is ok. Dont feed them or let them get under your skin. There is an amazing wealth of knowledge on pinside that I am always appreciate of.
