Should the side rails on a WPC be grounded?

Specifically, if I ohm out between a side rail and the ground plug (not connected to the ac outlet), should I read open (silent) or closed (beeeeep beep)?

I'm thinking it should be open... meaning no connection at all. The DMM shouldn't be beeping when the DMM is connected to the side rail and the ground plug.

    Looking forward to input...

    Thanks Llyod.

How is it grounded? I see no serious connection to ground.

Should be ground braid somewhere. Leg plates, lockdown bar receiver, etc.

The front bolts for the side rails contact the ground braid on the inside.
