I love mine too. I do think it's the confusing game play that turn people off.

I have had Assault on the Vault be the final tie breaker for a tourney. That was a hit.

I don't get the love for the wings. I like taking advantage of the game's smaller size. Now if you could close the wings like a dartboard, that would be cool.
