Catharina "Nina" Hagen (born March 11, 1955) is a German singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known for her theatrical vocals and is often referred to as the "Godmother of Punk" due to her prominence during the punk and new wave movements in the late 1970s and early 1980 .Her label advised her to acclimate herself to Western culture through travel, and she arrived in London during the height of the punk rock movement. Hagen was quickly taken up by a circle that included The Slits and the Sex Pistols; Johnny Rotten was a particular admirer.s. Nina loved LSD . I saw her live in 1981 tripping my ass off in NYC . This song "Naturträne" is in German and really shows her vocal talent .

I was really into 'Grunge Rock' I saw Sound Garden , The Smashing Pumpkins, , Alice in Chains all live a various early 1990's Lollapalooza lineups Grunge is full of insight of the of drug tortured souls . Emotional music that I identified with. Though I am sober now .
