Still one of heaviest albums. 1974. Same year as my Capt. Card pinball. If you don't own this album, you need to steal some kid's lunch money and grab a copy. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=wfwy0BRBc5g
One of my faves... PRONG!

More Canadian metal.... Always dug this tune from Helix.

And of course one of my favorite bands of all time... King's X. Dating back to 1990 (The Gretchen tour), I've seen them 8 times over the years. Kickass band... kickass tune.

Nice and heavy... A shame these guys got lumped in with hair metal...
'Black Widow' by Rough Cutt. Managed by Wendy Dio at the time.
Nice tuned down doom riff in this.

Opeth... Dig that Deep Purple influence... When the 3:00 mark hits, it starts to get epic...

Quoted from rotordave:John Sykes gave Thin Lizzy a good kick up the ass and bought the music into the 80s!
That's a great album. I also have the double live vinyl Live Life which was recorded on the a thunder and lightning tour. Grab it if you can, it's a very good live record.
Actually that reminds me I bought a live DVD of that tour last year. Was pretty good for an 80s recording.

I have every Lizzy album on vinyl plus Lynott's two solo records...
Quoted from playboywillis:I think I'm the only here who likes Megadeth
Nope... Saw Megadeth on the Peace Sells tour with Carnivore opening. L'amour: The rock capital of Brooklyn 1986.
And of course this classic metal anthem...
