About five years ago, I figured out most of my favorite rockers were getting old and were not going to be around forever. So I made a bucket list of the guys I wanted to see play live before they (or I...) died.
The downside of living in NZ is that none of my favorite bands ever came here in the 80s and 90s. It's a lot better these days ... But in the old days, you often had to go overseas to see metal guys. So these guys were bands who hadn't been here or I hadn't seen.
Ronnie James Dio - check (seen him now..)
David Coverdale - check
Ozzy - check
Motörhead - check
Black Sabbath - check (with Dio and Ozzy)
Judas Priest - fail. Had tickets but they cancelled
Kings X - fail. The drummer had cancer and they haven't toured
Iron Maiden - check
So point being, see your favorite bands while you can ... They won't be around for ever.

Been to Maiden's concert yesterday.... Best show EVER! The stage production is awesome and the band is tighter than ever... They played 5 songs of the great Book of Souls album and also a "rarity" - Children of the Damned... Opening by Anthrax was also spetacular! Nothing to complain.... great venue, great organization, fair prices, great sound quality, great BANDS!!!!

Album sales (IN GENERAL) are way less than years ago, because of (you guess) the internet!
And looks like rotordave is american - just fyi, there's a whole world outside the usa... METAL is huge in Europe and South America! Besides, when we talk about the percentage of people who listen to METAL and to other music styles, METAL was never that big in north america anyway....

Metal is the greatest form of music out there in my opinion. I listen to bands from Deep Purple and Rainbow through to Lamb of God and everything in between. I have over 1000 hard rock/metal albums.

Thing is the site that the rar files are stored are blocked here at work. So I don't know if it's one of those ghey sites where a 100-MB download takes 3 hours unless you pay to get into the fast lane.

And I checked the site with VirusTotal.com which reports it as clean. And just out of habit I scan all my downloads for malware and they've come up clean.

"Walking Back To Hell" was the first iteration of "A Dangerous Meeting." I had either an LP or cassette BITD that had a bunch of demos "Walking Back To Hell" was on.
Cool! I'll surely download all 3 bootlegs, and that's a very nice info I didn't have... now I'm curious to listen to it soon....

I still have a collection of tapes in the garage - though only a fraction of what I collected BITD. I remember having a Mercyful Fate "Curse Of the Pharaohs" cassette and a live bootleg. I also had the "Nuns Have No Fun" EP.
I'll do some checking to see if I still have that Fate cassette.
BITD I also made the mistake of selling a few of my vinyl albums (or trade for CD's).... The ones I regret most are the first two original VIPER albums and the very first SEPULTURA LP (split with a band called OVERDOSE)... Nowadays they are becoming rarer and rarer to find and expen$ive as hell...
