Work in progress. Base layout by me, Pinheadpuckguy made the acrylic topper, my wife basically fabricated the outer light box, and I'm going a few steps further with some custom lighting and effects. This was just an initial lighting test to see if the LED strips he included would be bright enough and disperse light across the entire backside of the topper evenly at the required distance. They work great, rigged them up to a 12v wall wart a friend provided, so work continues! 529685_10200091321099367_2130122118_n..jpg

Here is a FH topper I made a long time ago. It's a cheapy bathroom light fixture painted blue.

Just goes to show sometimes less is more.

Thanks Frax. I think the total damage was about $40 including the remote dimmer I spliced into. Love the circus side show stuff and thought about lights from the beginning.

Any issues with distracting glare on the nonfrosted large bulbs? Those fixtures are usually used for frosted bulbs so women can fix their makeup.

Love the SS topper!Where do I get one ,and how much do they cost?

It was a Limited Kit and the company owner had it painted for me. I think I paid $200 for it. ($125 kit, $75 paint)
...I will sell it to you if you want as I'm getting something else.

Sitting on my bowler at the moment until I tie it back up over my F-14..

Not exactly a topper, move over a hover-er....

Here's my Tron identity disc topper. I wound up replacing the outer ring with white and wiring up 80 LEDs using LED strips inside. It was a fun project, but I'll most likely be swapping it out for something else soon. photo-22small.jpg

Ok Cool i'm Making a TOTAN just like yours where did you get the lights for the rubys and how are they wired. it would be cool to wire it as the game is when each ruby is collected the light comes on

also like the Theatre of Magic box looks greats

I like the fun house too

Not really home made. Sttng is a older model toy with lights connected to GI. Sf2 is a marquee from an arcade version. I usually have the williams topper on one of the Williams games. Picked it up from the Williams booth many expo's ago and had jpop sign it

Pretty easy to make, made a batch a while ago, but sold out. PBL or Macro has the inserts.

Here is my homemade custom back box topper for my Popeye machine. I wired general illumination LEDs as well as wired up matching LED flashers individually to the identical matching flashers on the play-field below. Here is a YouTube video and a few pictures:

True, but as this thread was started 6 months back I felt it needed a resurrection bump to compliment the other.
