    poor power grid...

    #6856 3 years ago

my wife played my first pin once maybe...

    #6858 3 years ago

    #6877 3 years ago
    Quoted from MustangPaul:

    Outstanding, soooo much room.

yeah, i like spacing mine out, too. easier to work on, which is non-stop.

    #6894 3 years ago

    okay, done lurking:

    #6895 3 years ago

want to get rid of the Sorcerer. currently wishing for BSD, Shadow, Whirlwind, JD, BOP, JM.

    #6897 3 years ago

basement floors get cold in pa.

    #6899 3 years ago

was there ever a state championships of game rooms? we would have a registration period of a week, then we'd vote on our favorite from each state. it would be pretty cool, to see where we rank on a state level to see how far we need to go.

i'm officially proposing this. it would go much smoother with some help from pinside, i believe. something on the main page, at least a stickie on the forums.

    #6902 3 years ago
    Quoted from amkoepfer:

It would be interesting, but what do you rank it on? Decor, use of space, lighting, overall coolness? Or quality of games and amount?

up to the voter. basically like political elections: anything goes. i guess we could suggest recommendations, but who's going to listen to those.

    #6906 3 years ago
    Quoted from hlaj78:

    Don't forget the various countries.

    yeah, my bad.

    #6944 3 years ago
    Quoted from lordloss:

I think I can solve your problem, get rid of all the arcade cabs.

    #6949 3 years ago

a mame cabinet can play all the games, and only takes up room for one.

    not as pretty, however.

    #6951 3 years ago
    Quoted from Spitfiren8:

Mame is garbage, same as virtual pinball.

    now that's funny.

    #6963 3 years ago

now i do recommend sit-down racers, shooters and golden tee in dedicated forms.

    #6964 3 years ago
    Quoted from AlexSMendes:

Can you guys open a new thread? Please?

    #6966 3 years ago

i'm just basing that on how hard they are to emulate.

    ladies heart megatouch.

    #7096 3 years ago

what's going price range for used lcd megatouch?

    #7100 3 years ago
    Quoted from NightTrain:

Mine is a JVL. I picked it up with an Avatar pro for $2900. That was a pretty sweet deal. I'm not sure how much it's really worth now. My wife likes it and it looks cool. Kids like it when they come over.

    holy crap.

    #7119 3 years ago

going to a local coin-op warehouse today. i'm excited. hoping to find something cool for the basement. get some variety, like you guys have been saying.

i'd like a shooter, but it seems like it's buck hunter or bust for huo? i'd want something that is random enough for me to want to play it once or twice a week. i feel like the "dungeon crawler" style shooters can be memorized. i'd eventually know where all the guys are jumping out from.

i searched the thread and it seems like that's what i'm hearing, right?

    #7153 3 years ago

    Quoted from pinnyheadhead:

Congrats! I love my GT pedestal! You need to mount that TV up on the wall ASAP.

no doubt. looking at one of these duders, actually, since i'm scared i'll mount it then want to move it in a week:

first pic with the new lineup all lit up. picked up a BSD wednesday, which is starting my second wall. i'll need another pin over there and maybe a vid, if it fits.

rumpus room does have a nice sound to it.

    #7512 2 years ago

semi-tangent: it's like those people who can't park their car in their garage cause they got so much crap in there. i live in a new neighborhood, houses are only a year or two old; some built this year. there are people who just moved in with cars in their driveways already! clean up and throw some of your junk out! damn hoarders. or if you need a woodworking shop, use your f'n basement.

tangent: to make things worse, then you have people backing into their driveways blocking traffic (me). i wanna kill em. i wanna kill em!

sorry about that. i don't know what got into me.

    #7514 2 years ago

if people think i'm crotchety now (37), just wait 30 years.

    #7527 2 years ago

i thought the same thing. trash them and get some high tops.

they were probably free. someone was throwing out a waiting room.

    #7554 2 years ago

i'd be worried about fade in that room.

    #7561 2 years ago

so only 4-5 games in 6-10 months? slacker.

    1 week later
    #7616 2 years ago
    Quoted from bpeed99:

    Room for one more?

    i hope that's rhetorical.

    #7626 2 years ago

80% capacity is the recommended limit for any kind of power system, so i wouldn't go past 16a on a 20a circuit.

    #7830 2 years ago

i could post some updated pics, but i've currently got an RBION and JD with their guts hanging out. not very appealing.

    #7837 2 years ago

every once in awhile i look for a stuffed white wolf to set next to my BSD. i think that would be pretty cool.

    Quoted from jeffk:

In the process of moving to a new house. Here is the main pinball area, carpeted space is 12 x 27.5 feet. The 13 pins I have will fit along the walls but I am trying to find the most efficient layout for expansion. Any suggestions?

4 along each short wall. 8 in the middle, running the same way, back to back. 16 games.

    #8335 2 years ago

i like when a game room floor has a little shine to it.

    #8693 2 years ago
    Quoted from RoadRunner:

here are a few pics of my modest gameroom/garage that can house 4 pins at the moment.

    very nice lineup.

    #8724 2 years ago
    Quoted from Bendit:

It also has upgraded sound because I retired the old WPC-95 A/V board in it, and installed a brand new Pinsound board (coupled with a new DMD089 board).

pinsound plus a legacy dmd board can replace the av board? that's good to know. i was worried about my boards quitting on me at some point.

    #8743 2 years ago

squeeze a little bit closer and you could get another in there.
