    Quoted from TimBoch:

Game rooms are fun for the winter months, but my summers are shared with my backyard golf course.

Nice to see that someone is getting out of the house once in a while...

I really am in awe of the many game rooms that are on here; gosh, some of these look like full-time jobs!

Anyway, here is my somewhat modest entry:

    Quoted from mrossman5:

Wow. That room is amazing. Looks like an awesome hangout room. Throw many parties?

I used to run a once-per-month poker tournament, which rotated among the various member/players. The tourney would stop at my place four or five times a year, and I would also host the championship tournament. It was a great deal of fun to play cards, drink draft beer, and, of course, play pinball.

    Quoted from albummydavis:

Excellent. Another Tom Seaver fan. It's makes me a little sad how little he's remembered today, given how truly great he was with some horrible but lovable Mets and Reds teams. On of my favorite memories is going to Tom Seaver day at Shea in 1987

I wholeheartedly agree; truly one of the greats. Even though I am a Cubs fan, I always recognized how special Seaver was and respected his abilities.

I actually own 57 Mitchell & Ness jerseys, which I try to rotate out once a month. The only one that stays displayed at all times is the New York Giants one, as it has been autographed by Bobby Thomson.

Thanks for all of the nice comments!

    Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

My wife had a party last week with a bunch of her girlfriends. They all decided to play pinball so my wife sent me a picture while I was stuck at work.
My kind of pinball party too.

    And popcorn, too!

    Quoted from jawjaw:

    That's an unusual pic!

Agreed; that's something you don't see everyday.

    Quoted from ramegoom:

Among other things, I have several old phones in my game room in various spots. They're all connected to a Western Electric 30 station switchboard which can link any or all of them together. Switchboard was removed from a motel back in the 60's and sat for years. I found it at an estate sale...took a bit of research, but I managed to get it up and running perfectly. Fun project.

Ah, a man after my own heart!

I, too, have several antique phones in my home. I have a three-coin slot payphone and a Dreyfus just like you, and a Western Electric 302 cradle with separate ringer box, along with a WE50AL, which has the separate ear and mouthpiece. These are great fun, and it's amazing that they all work, considering that some are approaching 100 years old.

    Quoted from ramegoom:

I just produced this dial tone generator, works on a 12 volt wall wart. If you attach it to your tip and ring wires on your phone, you get a dial tone. Something you might be interested in, for your display phones. Makes it sound like it should. You can even put it inside your phone and run a 12 volt supply to it.
    [quoted image]

Very interesting, although I have all of my phones in use at the moment. I use a Dialgizmo, which will generate the proper push-button tone after counting the pulses when a number is dialed, along with a ring booster, which boosts the voltage to all of the phones when there's an incoming call. All are set up using an Ooma Telo. Works like a charm!

Well if your going to have a small collection thats a damn fine collection to have.

Agreed! You would be hard pressed with something better than those three. Enjoy them!

    Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

Just out of curiosity, don't the slots get boring if you aren't winning any money? Unless some people actually use them to take their friends money.

    Hey, the house ALWAYS wins!

I would just tell everyone that whatever coin they put in will be a "contribution" for maintenance and upkeep of all machines.

    Quoted from Nikrox2:

Getting there! And to think. This all started with one pinball machine! Lol
    [quoted image][quoted image]

Ah, yes; that's how it begins for most of us!

Looks great so far; looking forward to the end result.

    #12953 7 months ago
    Quoted from ramegoom:

Well, no. It actually starts with two pinball machines. Male and a female. And you didn't realize it when you bought them.
Somehow, they mate and reproduce. The collections you see here are products of offspring.
    That's my story anyway.

Well, perhaps you should have kept the lights on...

I don’t have any of those fancy expensive new games ...

And you know what? You don't need any! That room looks perfect just the way it is. Very nice collection.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Quoted from Burley9043:

When my daughter was in high school and we were together in the game room, I told her that one day all of these pinball machines will be hers and she said, "And they will be the first thing I sell." I think my daughter has a different vision.

Please be kind and let us all know when that happens, will you?
