insane collection there, I really enjoy those custom coin doors !!! PINBALL IN ITALY NICE!! HOPE TO VISIT SOMEDAY!!!
Quoted from Zampinator:Finally got around to taking a couple of picks of the 'ManCave'. It's a work in progress. We moved into this house 2 years ago to the day. The garage is why I bought this house, it's 24x84 with a full upstairs.
The upstairs is only partially finished, when I'm done there will be a golf simulator, putting green, & lots of pinball machines!image-345.jpg 295 KB

I love the amount of room u have and the fact you will have no trouble bringing in games! looks like a killer setup and wow that giant air hockey machine looks small in that huge place. well done!
Quoted from ramegoom:My new game room at my office, with a bit of variety. Cars, pins, slots.

stellar room! I might consider some blinds, I would be worried about sun fade! looks awesome tho with all that natural lighting!!!
Quoted from Deaconblooze:This is my favorite thread on pinside, by a long shot. It's been a while since I've contributed. Here's my mostly current setup.

nice setup! question do you find slanting your pins gives you more or less room? just curious as I have seen that before and thought it would be nice in certain areas opposed to straight out of wall
Quoted from Fuse:Here's my room, unfortunately I only own the sttng as far as pins, the rest I fix and shop for a guy. Sold all my arcades except for the ms pac since my wife loves it and then spent half my life building the mame machine!

love that juke! and nice lineup
Quoted from PW79:I changed a few decks & installed a light for the new foosball n skateboard wall.
The new light makes shit look like an art gallery. I feel so fancy lol
Enjoy the pic my fellow skaters... well I'm a fat guy who remembers himself as a much better skater than I really was
Last pic is my daughter making her Braveheart speech before a foosball battle lol

tornados are really nice. tho I found on my old tornado the ball kept dead sitting in the corners, eventually got rid of it. nice setup and LOVE THE DECKS!!!
Quoted from PW79:Most tornados have angled playfield strips & the most recent gen players have a wider taper although I think that change was made many years ago.
Good news is no losing the ball in a corner.
Bad news is the guys break a lot more now because when they can press against the ball when it's against the wall the players flex.
You sold your tornado?
User ignored lol (jk)
Here are the mounts I use
ebay.com link » 10 Woodys Skateboard Deck Wall Mount Display Hangers Vintage Or New
LOL well I didnt quite sell it, I traded it for a pinball... no joke. so I was happy to see it go hahaha

SHES A BEAUT CLARK!
Quoted from ziz:Here is one, would love to have one of these, so much fun.
pac-man.jpg
I find that game kinda boring, I mean its fun annihilating strangers but if u play the original game alot its rather easy to take out everyone and then the round is over fast along with your credits.
Quoted from johnnyutah:Just added new carpet to my gameroom. Now looking for a nice RFM to add to the expansion I'm doing in another part-

excellent quarters me matey!
Quoted from Kcbbq13:Not really my game room, but this is next to the room that pins will end up in... Built this over the weekend with my 10 year old.20150804_113308.jpg
wow thats awesome. would have lived on one of those growing up. I would recommend padding that pole. some friend is gonna drop in and fly right into it. Id be sure to have it well padded off!
sick layout!
awesome clip rotordave. nice collection and house. you are blessed and thats great u have the family support, thanks for sharing, enjoyed it!!!
what is that wooden game with the posts on it on the table? some kind of skill game?
Quoted from 27dnast:Have made some tweaks and additions to the game room... continuing with the hockey/pins/movie theme with hockey puck coasters, some classic Caps and Flyers photos, pinball fliers, and a few movie posts along the wall shared with the dedicated home theater...recently added in some original works of art on skate decks that I picked up from some artists....and just began phase two expansion into a storage/work room that was 1/4 work shop and 3/4 shelving and storage. With a little spring cleaning combined with some shelving reconfiguration, I can now fit 7 or 8 pins in there. I'm thinking this room will remain largely unfinished...I like the exposed beams, concrete floors, and string lights. Gives the room its own feel.
The other side of the wall in the main game room is a space that's under a 3 season room on the first floor. Probably would never happen...but I'd love to build it out and cut a door through the exterior brick...would give me another 17X12 space. Otherwise, space is out.
I know...I know... first world problems. But, we're all allowed to dream. Right?
Anyhow, thought I would share and perhaps someone might take an idea or two...or have a suggestion or two!
The sickness grows.
Quoted from PinJim83:In my opinion, great. I think it is an underrated game and I enjoy it even more than Black Knight...maybe even my favorite playing pin in my collection.
**EDIT: I should also add my girlfriend really likes Jungle Lord and she doesn't really like pinball. I'm still working on that, but I have turned her into a bit of a Space Invaders (cocktail arcade) addict.
Here are a couple more pics from the basement, including one with better lighting and a shot of some of my defunct casino poker chip collection.
jl is a great game, very very underrated and awesome sounds. nothing like triggering the stampede multiball sounds!!!
Quoted from Cam:Now the Edmonton Oilers section. Almost every item is game worn/used and came from the Oilers locker room over the years.
awesome awesome room. I dig the penalty box and the oilers stuff, sad to hear they traded hall this year. I finally found a open ice and still in the hunt for a dedicated gretzky machine.
reminds me of a buddys mansion I grew up with, he had a little roller rink setup in his basement you could play 2 on 2 in. great great room buddy! thumbs up!
Quoted from MT45:Updated lineup. Added GOT Premium, Big Betty's Truckstop, BM66SLE. Sadly, had to fold up and put away Roller Games and LAH.
Gameroom has now leaked out into living area, hallway, etc. This is a tough disease to beat.
sick game room! but truckstop over LAH and RG!? Say what!? lol jk
i wish i could find a copy of my first deck.
drydek pro model alien workshop.
very early board was really neat til i thrashed and cracked it in half. nice board collection.
I always rode them had I never used them Id be sitting on a pile.
Quoted from imagamejunky:Ready for game day
I am curious what type of screen is that?
Quoted from shock_me:Here's the "spare bedroom". No room for visiting relatives unfortunately
you can fit a cot under the pins lol
Quoted from ramegoom:While on the subject of water, here's a video of my game room in Illinois ten years ago, after a storm that left 4 inches of water in much of the room. 8 minute walk-thru and you can see the carpet floating.
There were four sump pumps in the room, but the power outage killed the deal. Things you learn.
My goodness that video made me sick to my stomach! How much rain did that take? Was it like day after day of rainfall. Just wow
I hope you got an insurance claim for the damage
A good friend of mine had the cities pipe back up and had raw sewage dookie floating in his basement. Luckily he didn’t have any games in there. 10k later it barely covered the cleanup.
Good that the pins are on stilts but wow that video glad to see you got out of there and in somewhere new.
Quoted from xfassa:It was 62F at the start of the night and a comfortable 68F at the end of the night.
Awesome lineup and game room
Question how do you get the glass off running games that tight? Do you lift the pin up and remove them for service ?
Again very epic lineup and nice choice of arcades
I really like old original and huge signs
Some reproductions can be found that look fairly well and a small fraction of the price for wall decor
The market is full of repops now and india is making huge signs that look real but are selling for crazy money
I have an alien similar to that one sharper image made years ago. That mars attack one is cool
That does suck but could be a lot worst most games look like they are gonna be okay
An eye opener for sure. Scary stuff glad to see you come out okay
Quoted from jaytrem:I know a little about flooding. Can't believe my sump pump couldn't keep up! Didn't own any pins at the time, they would now be priority #1.
[quoted image]
be cool to live by a river, def keep the pins upstairs!

Super nice
What are the specs on that supercade multi?
Is that a full size machine or smaller kid model?
Running mame?
Wow amazing space
That’s the best poker table I’ve even seen
Custom made?
Did you make it ? Awesome!
Amazing!!
Loving watching the oilers
Wish I could come over and play but alas in Ohio lol
One day I will watch oilers live in Edmonton
Shaq was on the Celtics lol
I would love to see an icy hot Shaq translite or even better the general with Shaq lol
Cool and fun game though kinda miss mine for some reason hahaha
Nice lineup
That penny arcade collection is very impressive
I saw one very close to it in Ohio really amazing pieces and serious pricetags on them.
Really neat stuff
That game Room is as cool as ice
Let’s kick it !!
Seriously though that’s one tribute to vanilla ice
I like his hgtv show
Every time I have little ones over they almost always try to get inside the games
Especially if the key is in
Like every time
Exploring maybe? Candy inside lol
I even predicted it last time to the mother and she was like no no , 5 mins later hand inside game lol
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:I hope you all enjoy exploring the space! Click the link below for a 3D self-guided tour.
https://my.matterport.com/models/u4SxWUqobbL?organization=6c27Jtgdthk&section=media&mediasection=showcase
There's a poker table under the table top. Table top comes in handy for food & board games. The Star Wars & Guardians pictures in the bathroom are 3D, which ironically didn't translate. Still a few things to finish such as staining the doors, hanging more beer signs, installing surround sound in the ceiling. It's getting there.
Now that’s what I call a tour!
Where the star wars pins
Epic room by the way
Guy in my area also has insane collection
He has life size store displays toys etc
Collecting for years.
His entire house star wars.
Quoted from orlandu81:In all fairness, I'm cheating with the 4 LED blacklight strips on the ceiling...they make the skeleton look radioactive. I think I grabbed this skeleton at Costco during the halloween time last year...a must have for the holiday and if you have a party. I kept it in the arcade for months afterwards and it definitely startled me a few times early on when I forgot he was sitting in there. I also moved him around regularly to scare the kids a bit
A lot of nintendo there
Makes me think of my neighbors tv with built in nes player he wants to sell
Like the fiber optic signs nintendo made
Quoted from AFM95:Too bad Uncle Phil isn't available, he was the best.
Jeffrey get Lucille !!
Quoted from bdn103:New to pinside. I am mainly into vids, but will probably need to add a few more pins in the future.

Quoted from tamoore:Love these rooms. They're fantastic!
This is my 2020 walk about video.
Lots of changes in 2020, but very few visitors for obvious reasons.
Wow nice game room
Quoted from jorge5240:I use jelly domes. Run for long periods all synced to music
Trance game room rave
Quoted from Coolpinballdino:Took another video of the collection. Had a couple line up changes since the last one. First vid is the basement, second video is the games I have at my dad's machine shop.
Wow amazing collection
Well done
Quoted from Motorcitypinball:We have recently finished the Game Room Build! It took about 7 months. It is finally at a place that I can post pictures
The few at the beginning are before.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Wow looks like a location
Quoted from Kkoss24:I havnt tightened up yet but no I don’t like inspectors they slow me down .Usually theyre the mayors nephew that wants to red flag you as much as possible so he can start getting commissions on them .I’m mostly a carpenter but with YouTube I’m doing it all now and getting better every day .The funny thing is nobody mentioned the ceiling you’ll never see one like this because I just invented it .In Indiana if you drywall your ceiling in basement it becomes taxable .If you have acess to your ceiling it’s not .Most people here spray paint the ceiling open like some bars do .I installed 2x4 blocks across the joists to make equal rectangles .Then used door stop 1/2 inch up to picture frame each opening .Caulk it up n paint with a flat black .Cut drywall panels and painted n installed like ceiling tile .Makes a 8 foot ceiling look 8foot 3.tedious but real cheap to do
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Clever and very nice
Looks very ikea...ish
Well played on the code requirements lol
Quoted from schudel5:As of a few days ago...missing are 6 games still out on location.

Awesome looks sweet
Love the bowler
Quoted from kyle5574:I love the casual worksite in that picture. Hot soldering iron hanging from the shooter, solder on the ottoman, cold beverage in the PinGulp…but what’s the hammer for?
Hit wall when repair don’t work lol
Wow that flooding is crazy
You handled that in a very wise way
Don’t be too hard on yourself for cyclone you could have lost many more. At least now you have an excuse to completely restore it to new.
Lives were lost in that storm.
Complete madness and chaos.
Really crazy
Love the terminator room
Awesome t2
The t3 and terminator salvation would look rad in there
Ps the sign all trespassers will be prosecuted should say terminated!!!
Awesome room
Quoted from OHEMIO:Pics of my garage arcade and bar build I’m in the process of building.
Put my United 5 Star Ball Bowler restoration aside in September. Several other games under sheets pending restorations.
Probably have another month until completed. Need to finish the mill work. Plumbing for the sink.
Back bar holds dual tap kegerator, 70 lb per day ice machine, and two bottle fridges. Frost unit and engineering a frost rail into the inside L of the bar.
Like restorations been a labor of love to say the least. Equally worth the time investment.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Dude awesome build you can see the labor of love
Love the OSU theme too
Rock on
When moving neon lay flat
Carry by frame and avoid potholes bumps or dumb people who will snap a tube
I always thought it wise to fold or cut down the box and save it in case a future owner would want it. Plus it backs up the home use only claim
The pink pandoras box was pretty good for some fighting games and classics.
It’s no mame or anything like that but better then nothing.
At least it’s something to wire up and test some games you may want to buy the real pcb some day.
Few games on there are unplayable and don’t work right. But overall my experience was okay from a multi standpoint.
For actually playing games often it gets much more involved and you will need good hardware and software.
Kinda like a virtual pin. Yeah you can buy one for 300 bucks. But the real good playing ones and visual ones can have 3k+ easy in just hardware.
Depends on budget and what your looking to do.
Quoted from Mischa:Had the opportunity to help in making a video about the most beautiful designed pinball game room in the world. Together with Peer (owner of the Dutch Pinball museum in Rotterdam) we made quite a trip to get there. I was really flabbergasted on how the theme integrations was done in this game room. Pressing start activates sound and light and starts up the pinball machines.
You can see the video on the Youtube channel from Dutch Pinball Museum (english subtitles are available):
Wow that’s awesome!
Lol puzzle room. That is funny.
Arcade pin room better anyways
But hey when you turn 80 and if you get into puzzles you will be set LOL
Quoted from schudel5:Are you talking about the one above the bowler? My daughter painted that on canvas for me about 10 years ago in high school. There's a painter Charles Bell that does similar paintings that has a ball on a playfield with the reflection of the playfield on the ball. She entered it at Pinball Expo in Chicago the same year and won first place.
Yeah
And that’s so awesome. Def a awesome piece of art and she has skills!
I love this thread
Question for anyone who did an external game room or pole barn type building. What size is the best and why? Also how many pins can you fit in yours and its size. I’ve seen so many game rooms in this thread, thought I’d ask for anyone with experience with an outside building.
Lol yeah my buddy has a 30x40 and said he wished he went bigger. But I mean then you start having to heat cool that small house lol.
I just wanted to hear from others that went that route. Size wise and game layouts and such. Seems a pretty effective approach if you don’t have or want to use a basement
Amazing thank you for the reply!
Helps to see sizes and pins in the space to figure out what’s best!!! Nice game room brother
