Quoted from mojozone:PinballHelp said:Here's one of my "arcade rooms"
What is that small box on the table, is it an old bagatell game or old school pin game?
Yes, it's the first Bally pinball game, BallyHoo from the 1930s. I've got a wide variety of games that I'm eventually hoping to include as a museum-type exhibit in addition to having games to play.
Quoted from spanks_4:I wanna come over!!!!
I'll let ya know when the next time we're having something going on.
Everybody's game room looks so great... here's what I can basically show right now...
My game room is slowly taking shape... it's an abandoned church building that was destroyed in hurricane Katrina and had been vacant for 7 years. I've been working on the project for 8 months now, acting as general contractor. Just last week I passed final inspections after having all new plumbing, electrical and other services ripped out and rebuilt. A group of us in the area have been rebuilding the place from the ground up, drywall, tile, electrical, plumbing, low voltage wiring, everything...
Here is the church's baptismal that we've left in place:
There's still a ton of work to be done - I had no idea how difficult it would be to restore an existing structure like this but finally I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel and after 8 months, the electricity gets hooked up next week. Yay! I hope to begin moving machines into the space soon.
Quoted from PINBELL:Is this a home gameroom, or a business? It's huge!
It's inside an old church building that was flooded and destroyed from hurricane Katrina. I've been working for the last nine months renovating and restoring it. Right now it's not a business. It's basically a private studio/arcade/museum/workshop (for some reason nobody in our group wanted to quit their day jobs and operate an arcade.. lol). However, since it's in a dedicated building, I'm setting up a trust to ensure that it doesn't go anywhere in case anything happens to me, and our group manages it, so it will be around for others to enjoy after I get it finished. I don't have any children, so I decided to make this project like a child, that I hope will grow and be around after I'm gone. There's a group of us shepherding the project - if anyone wants to get involved, PM me.
I haven't gone into a whole lot of details because basically, I've been busting my butt working on the property and so many things could have gone wrong; there were times where many people didn't think we'd get this property restored (all the electrical had to be re-wired, plumbing, framing, drywall, etc.). It sat abandoned for more than 7 years and was a complete mess. But finally it passed all inspections and all the utilities are hooked up. The only thing right now is the two A/C units in the building were flooded and it looks like they were ruined, so we're trying to raise some money to get new A/C units before it gets too hot.
One thing I hope to do right away is begin hosting IFPA tournaments at the space as soon as we can get it going. There hasn't been any sanctioned pinball competition in Louisiana and we want to start cranking out some competitors and giving our friends in nearby states reason to come visit!
Updated pics of the "PinChurch" work in progress...
The "classic/em" row is filling out nicely...
Not pictured on the other row is: Quick Draw, Apollo, Slick Chick, Airborne Avenger, Jacks To Open, Mars God of War
Being set up is an Independence Day.
I've got 7 more WMS DMDs to move into the row, but they're upstairs at my house and I can't get anybody to help... lol
Quoted from Meph:My game room is pretty limited in size but I can't complain since I didn't have one just a few months ago. STTNG is my only pin so far and I am hoping to pickup a couple more this year.

Where's you find that Tempest poster? I've never seen that. I'd love to get one.
