Really hard to follow up some of these amazing rooms, but I'll give it a try. This is our first home and starter home. The deal going in was that I would get one room to do as I pleased and the old lady got to decorate the rest of the house as she saw fit. I lucked into a house with a nice basement that can comfortably fit 5 pins and a MAME cab with room for a couch and tv too (not pictured). Eventually I'll have a theater projector in front of the couch for our viewing pleasure. This is as it sits right now, but I'm about to start selling off some pins to save up for my next Star Trek pin in hopes of having them all one day.

Quoted from Dooskie:Once the addition is built onto the clubhouse we'll start looking for it. It's definitely on the short list.
Love this! You're 3/4 the way there! I'm 1/2 there with Next Gen and Bally Star Trek myself. I got EXTREMELY lucky with both and picked up primo examples on the cheap (and fairly recently too).
Quoted from metalkatt:My game room is slowly getting there... Gotta finish the bar area and put up more posters, but I've been too busy fixing machines!! Ha!
Oh man... I love me some Honey Brown.
A few small updates from last time I posted but nothing major. Still doesn't compare to a lot of these game palaces. FunHouse is at my parents' place for now.

Quoted from TimBoch:Nice room Brother.
I had a feeling I might come across a fellow traveller!
Quoted from Yelobird:Nice setup. Is the riffle up there kind of a "in case of emergency, shoot glass!" lol
Haha it's actually a BB gun. I joke with guests all the time about visiting the arcade and then heading out to the shooting range.
The update this time isn't about the games. I got the projector put in with Denon/Polk 5.1 surround sound and a custom-built 82'' screen thanks to the help of @needz. Up next is TV stand and cord control

Didn't have a good place for it and I like to just grab it and kill some time. Seemed fitting considering there was nothing else to fill the space right there.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:I have a bunch of daisy's models, 25, 107, 880, Red Riders and on and on but I have a fear of keeping the daisy's around my pins don't need someone to pick one up and kill a back glass, but it does look like yours is out of reach.
I never thought about that before. Thankfully there aren't any kids around here with curious hands.
Quoted from freegame450:total of $3000
Holy cow! That's a great deal. I say that, but I got pretty great deals on all 3 of those games for today's prices. I also got really lucky with the condition of all 3. I had to drive to New Orleans for the Bally and the other 2 were less than 20 miles from my house.
Quoted from Backyardace:Nice Trek lineup.
Thanks! Only one more to go!
Quoted from Goronic:I do regular klipsch as well, however they aren’t inwall. Love the brand though
Polk here with a Denon receiver. It more than does the job for this small room. I'm very pleased and got the whole 5.1 system with 4k/60 passthrough and 7.1 upgrade capability if ever needed for $200. It was a steal.
Quoted from PinDeLaPin:Damn!! I'd sure say it was a steal. What did you do come across a meth head who needed $200 for some more meth? Either way thats a sweet pickup on your part
Yep I was blown away with how lucky I was. Guy about 45 minutes away from me was moving to a studio apartment in Seattle and couldn't take it with him. One of the best internet deals I've ever had!
Quoted from alexanr1:Here are some photos of my finished basement which includes a room with my pins and video games.
Looks like an Indy poster in the theater is a popular choice!
Quoted from Litedpinballmods:Added something new!
Sweet. Where did that come from?
Quoted from Luckydogg420:It wouldn’t be hard to make a game name light like that. There’s a lot of mini led spotlights on AliExpress that could be used for under cabinet lights. Here’s a 12v led spotlight for less then $5, your just need to print a tiny image and put it on the end of the lens. I bet with a little searching I could find something that would work perfectly
Look what I found on AliExpress

Couldn't you just use transparency paper like what they used for overhead projectors back in the day?
There have been several changes since I last posted in this thread. I'm out of pin space and made a lot of changes in the theater side of the room.

Thanks! I bought those tires for $20 each. I live about 45 minutes from Talladega so good racing stuff pops up for cheap occasionally. Plus it gives me a good way to display my Kyle Busch stuff without being annoying or taking up wall space, which I don't have. Not quite done yet but it's been a great conversation starter.
Quoted from littlecammi:So...I'll bet Nascar gets moved to another spot whenever JJP game #6 is available.
Don't be sleeping on NASCAR! It's a lot of game for the price.
Quoted from xsvtoys:But exactly what position do you have to assume to play the Dracula machine?
4 people play at once and the stool spins around when it's your turn.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:If you have a partner that likes to shoot pool there's nothing like it. We go down and shoot for at least 2 hours day. Even before we had the table set-up, we'd shoot pool at the bar daily.
It's true that many pool tables sit idle all the time, but, for the people who "get it" and are students of the game, there's nothing like having a pool table at home to shoot while you're watching TV and relaxing. If I had more time I would be playing in league still. I miss it all the time.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Right? After the wife went up after happy hour last night I put the Monday Night Football game on and shot by myself till after 10pm in between tearing down SF2. We talk about joining a league whenever this pandemic subsides. We did dart league for a few years in the early 2000s and it was fun.
Joining a pool league is one of the best experiences I have ever had. I went from "okay" to challenging every Chad in the bar for a drink and knowing I'd be able to drink for free all night. You meet some really great people and learn a ton if you pay attention and ask questions to those who are better than you. It's more like chess than anything else, and every game provides a new challenge. Like poker, it takes 5 minutes to learn and a lifetime to master.
Might have to go rejoin the league now...
Also, the Mosconi Cup starts a week from today!
Quoted from xsvtoys:etimes though I would lose on purpose because some of them looked a lot bigger and meaner than me and definitely gave off that aura that if you beat them, they would beat you, literally.
That's one of the reasons I rarely challenged anyone to money games. Almost any man will pony up for a cheap beer if they lose and things remain friendly, though I have had a few just straight up leave and never come back. Even at $5/rack, the stakes feel a lot higher.
Quoted from The_Director:2020 update
I see some Strats and what appears to be a Les Paul. Also a Deluxe Reverb?
600 games seems like a lot. I have about 12,000 games at my disposal, but my MAME cab only has about 150 on it. Even that feels like too much at times. When selecting a game it becomes paralysis by analysis - just too many choices. I think about 100 is really the sweet spot.
Quoted from dyopp21:"Dave's Ballshack"
Shackwarming party coming up I hope! I'd make the trip for that!
Quoted from dantebean:(I have a Hyperspin multicade I built)
Is Hyperspin still a hyper pain in the ass? I gave up on it years ago because I was so much happier with the simplicity of LaunchBox/BigBox.
Quoted from punkin:I must be the only pinball collector that never played pinball when i was young.
I didn't play pinball until I was 24!
