Very slow progress here, but it's coming along. I've had an upstairs game room since 2010. This will be a dedicated first floor game room. It will have a dedicated pin room, work shop, den/bar area and full bath. It's 25x30 with a 10x30 porch. A 4' ramp will roll up from the driveway to the back door which will be the workshop entrance.
Cons: Wife said it had to match the house (cost of brick etc).
Pros: It matches the house (10 ft ceilings and other nice amenities). Wife says its all mine! The kids have a separate playroom, gym area etc in the house that won't mess with my precious).
Quoted from Jodester:Fire, mold, termites...
Ebola, Dengue Fever, Alabama Fans etc. It's multi purpose!
Quoted from ramegoom:Just curious; why do you have the NM wiring looped around prior to entering the electrical boxes? The inspectors in my area insist that the wires get stapled to the stud within 6 inches of the box entry. And, they want a 6 in. working length outside of each box.
Maybe the code in your area is different? It would be nice to have some slack on those wires every once in a while...
I have no idea, but will ask the electrician. Im glad you asked. I'll get to learn something new.
Quoted from sleazius:I stuck this in another thread, but here is the batcave with a bunch of games setup in it - still very much a work in progress. Still a bunch of stuff that is unfinished including the floor:

Very nice!
I went low on my outlets for future resale. The "game house" will have a 200amp service. 4 different circuits in the game room. Good lighting. Good AC or heat for Yankees.
Quoted from Jodester:Outside done on mine. Just waiting to finish sheetrock and then we go to paint.

Awesome Jody. You rock!
Quoted from shirkle:Nevus, is that ceramic tile?
Yes. It's pretty cool. Did the whole thing in that tile.
Quoted from Jodester:So, is that all the games for the moment? No more in storage? I think the room turned out great. Can't wait to head up there to see it.
EBD isn't in the picture, it's under construction. Arcades are still in storage but coming home soon. ULM and I are looking for party dates now. I'm thinking sometime in May. I really want you guys to be able to come up.
Quoted from amkoepfer:Wow nevus, thats an awesome idea. Is that diy or did you buy it somewhere?
Thanks! Assuming you mean the Marshall, Amazon.com.
Quoted from yzfguy:Nevus...does it keep beer super cold? All of them claim to, but I would hate to buy another that forces me to stick the next round in the freezer to get them good and cold.
Yes it's plenty cold and the temp is adjustable. If you like it super cold, no mini fridge may work for you. I find beer n the fridge to be just fine.
Quoted from ulmpharmd:Looks like you were able to make it down to pick it up! Hope you were happy with it...prob the nicest shadow I've seen unrestored!
Yep, I've played that Shadow as well. Very nice example.
I say it about once a month. This is the best thread on Pinside. It could literally be its own web site.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:My first game room was a 12X12 portable building (wife got tired of pins in the dining room) Was able to have 4 games in it.
Quoted from PoBoyPinball:As my collection kept growing graduated up to about a 18X30 space
Totally, I have seen the evolution of my addiction as well!
I started by using an extra bedroom (because kids like to sleep two to a room)
Now I'm in a separate building.
