Does anyone have any rough figures for "sq ft./pin" (for narrow bodies)
For example: 2.6 ft * 8 ft = ~21 sq ft? (to allow for minimal walking distance behind the player)

A guy with 2900 sq. ft "could" hold...
    138 pins.
(But that wouldn't account for a workshop area...)
    So maybe 135 pins...
    =)

    Quoted from jfh:

My basement is about 1400 SF with a utility and storage areas, bar, theater, bath, game area and arcade. I have room for 20 pins without jamming them in or making it difficult to play. Two rows of 11 and 4 in the main arcade (solid states) and a row of 5 EMs along a wall in the game room.

I would guess you have about 400-500 sq ft. for 20 pins, and 900-1000 sq. ft. for all the other stuff u mentioned.

That's also an interesting number. What % of sq. ft. of a space do you like to dedicate to pins? In my opinion you really want the "work area" nearby so you are not wheeling pins around to work on them.

That's what happens when you don't play in public much where you have to watch your mouth.

This is so good, it deserves its own thread.

    Proving once again,

It's not the size of the collection that matters, it's what you do with the space...

Consistent art direction and attention to detail!

I think some guys should hire you to design their spaces...
