    Hi thanks!
This collection looks poor compared with others but I don't have a lot of room at home.
I did buy a Lord of the Rings but I haven't receive it yet.

Your collection is nice. Hard to understand your list of games you previously owned, though. Apparently you are now on your fourth Medieval Madness and your third Attack from Mars? Looks like you keep flipping games for profit.

Finally got everything running 100% and ready for the fall party season!

Every time I think they're all running and I can take and post my game room pics...something else breaks.

    Quoted from PaulCoff:

Going to try and fit another pinball in soon, but for now its nice to keep the early 80's together.

Just wondering...is there a hidden door behind the Tron?

How to make the most of a small 10'x15' room.

Prett sneaky breaking through that concrete wall and tunneling into the basement of the adjoining building to add your pinball room. Maybe you can use your neighbor's electricity to power your games.

The latest version of my game room as of 11/30/14.

Nice. But that silver sit-down-driver game in the middle of the room takes up too much room.

I converted half of my unfinished basement into a pinball room by doing all of the work myself except for the electrical on one wall (paid an electrician to do that wall and show me how so I could wire the opposite wall and end wall myself). The 2 linked Exoticas are just outside the room entrance.

It's not as nice as some of these rooms but it's a good man cave.

A virtual cabinet to emulate lots of different pinballs, a MAME cabinet to run lots of different videogames, and a Skee-ball to, uh, skee?

I really like your man cave and you have an "Incredibles" poster on your wall. Well done!

The Incredibles is my favorite animated movie. Could have made a good pinball theme.

Gotta admit that I just don't like the term "man cave." Game room, family room, or whatever else you want to call it, but man cave sounds too neanderthal.

Just a suggestion, but maybe dump the weight lifting equipment and add more games there. Then use the bar top as a workbench (and place for your computer) and add more games there. And you may be able to squeeze a couple more games into the bar area...

    Quoted from AJB4:

Looking at changing up my lineup a bit. Developing a love for late B/W pins. Growing tired of deep rulesets that I can't complete anyway.

Pins with really deep rulesets are similar to videogames I used to play that had lots and lots of levels. I would save my progress on those videogames and continue on later, but once I completed all the levels I never felt like starting over and doing the whole thing again. Maybe that's why I see guys on Pinside who are constantly changing their pin lineup. That never made sense to me, since I consider all of my B/W pins to be keepers.

    #7049 3 years ago
    Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

Anybody display their pinball collecting history? I'd like to see what you've come up with.

My lineup hasn't changed since I posted in this thread about a year ago. But I've changed everything to LEDs (except for SW:E1) and made several other mods to games and some additions to the room.

On 7 of the 13 playfields I lit the inserts.

Only because you can't put leg light-ups on a playfield.

    #8611 2 years ago

My lineup is set in stone because most of the 13 pins in my game room are my personal favorites which I carefully sought out and collected (including WHOdunnit). But I keep working on my game room by watching Pinside for ways to improve the games I already have. I just received and installed a 3-D translite in RFM, black nickel-plated legs and leg bolts on CFTBL and gold powder-coated legs on ToM. And I have sent payment for Pingrafix PowerBladez for AFM and am in on the next run of BBB custom neon signs. You have to watch Pinside for the latest offerings or you could miss out. The pic below shows my proto ToM with ColorDMD, 3-D translite, full LEDs, red undercab lighting, gold legs, and the clock in the speaker panel which I drilled out and backlit.

Good to see another WHOdunnit fan.

My WHOdunnit is in pretty good shape, but I still plan on minting it out some day. I have an OEM playfield hung on the wall next to it and a bunch of new parts set aside, including two A20426 center ramp assemblies (one to install and one spare to keep in case the first one cracks) plus extra slot machine windows and slingshot plastics. I added blue undercab lighting and changed it over to LEDs and I'm hoping they make a ColorDMD for it soon.spare parts (resized).jpg

I have to dispute your definition of a "couple" more.

    Quoted from Micky:

What is your opinion of Mustang? Is it a keeper?

I've owned two Corvettes in the past (a '62 and a '64 coupe that I never should have sold). I wanted to like Bally Corvette enough to put one in my game room, but...no. Corvette was just not good enough.

I played three different Mustang pros and found I really liked the gameplay, then pulled the trigger and ordered my Mustang Boss premium. It's a really good game and a keeper for me. I liked the Boss 302 pinball machine so much that I bought a green 2013 Boss 302 Mustang in October 2016 after owning the pin for two years.

I have 6 jelly domes going right now and soon to be 9.

    Quoted from gliebig:

    What is a jelly dome?

I've had jelly dome donuts before and they were terrific! Don't think I could eat 9 of them, though.

    You only live once...

...and if you save responsibly for the future you'll die shortly after retiring.
But if you buy what you like now you'll far outlive your retirement funds.

    Quoted from RTR:

Finally finished our basement this year and the builder took some great photos of it:

Gotta agree with everyone else - your game room looks spectacular!
I guess I'm all by myself in not being a fan of the blue countertops, though.

    Quoted from RTR:

    It is a 10' ceiling.

Nice. But to avoid glare I would have installed the overhead lights over the center aisle instead of over where the games are.

    Here's my current setup.

Looks like a solid group of low end machines.

    Quoted from Nepi23:

And here's my setup from 2014 - there have been some changes to the lineup.

You couldn't leave well enough alone?

What air hockey table? That pic was taken near center ice.

    All it takes is money.

You can only play one pin at a time.

My wife always says exactly this!
(When suggesting I sell some of the pins I already have or when preventing me from adding another.)

    But that's only 9.

For pins Paul usually counts the number of leg-light-ups and then divides by four.

Can't a married guy have at least one room to himself.

    Quoted from rollitover:

Sure, you bet. It's called the garage.

That's if you're lucky. Most of the time a married guy is in the doghouse.

A few pics from New Year’s Eve.

Looks like it was a nice party, but two pics is not a few. Two is only a couple.
It takes at least three to be a few, but too many more and it becomes several instead of just a few.

    Quoted from radium:

Your mistake was that you asked.

I ordered my Shelby GT500 and told my wife about it after the fact. I haven't done that again.

    Quoted from Chosen_S:

If you know your wife and the money you spend is agreed on before any purchase is made why should it matter what you buy?

Because I know my wife and she won't agree to spending money on a 17th pinball or a 10th electric guitar or a 6th sports car.

    Quoted from ramegoom:

There is only enough room for 7 pins. But it's a "game" room, not pinball room, so there is some variety.

I like that some game rooms are all pinball, some a mix of pins and vids, and others with a much wider variety (bowlers, pool tables, slot machines, etc.). It would be sad if everyone had the exact same games and there was no variety.
