Just moved and want to see pics of peoples games rooms. Heres my new one so far.
Yeah, love the theatre. Hopefully once I finish the basement in my new house (just moved in last weekend) I can have that kind of room for more pins.
Trytaking it to a vacuum cleaner repair place. I think they are the same as some of the belts used on powered central vac heads. I bet you can match something up. Either that or 2 O rings per flipper from a bearing supply place might fit.
Quoted from blondetall:The first thing I tried was putting a regular rubber on it, but they are too thick and heavy to work. I was afraid I was going to break it trying to stretch it over since the others are more plastic and already molded oval.

I figure after 4 years I should post pics of my new line up.
First pic old lineup.
And second is what I have now. The Pinbot is not the same one. I sold and bought another.
Still waiting on my MMr.
Love the boards on the wall.
Here is a pic of the same board I had back in the day.
Wish I still had it. I gave it away to a neighbours kid on my street when I went to college around '93-94
Rearranged things again and added some more stuff. Officially no room left until the addition has finally had enough saved up to get done.
Not shown in the pic is my homemade DK cabaret with a 412-1 board and a spinner. Its beside the closest pin. Just enough room left to get to my closet tool and parts boxes.
And just enough to get the glass out of every pin.
Star Trek pro
Custom DK 412-1 vertical cab
Custom 2019-1 horizontal cocktail.
Aliexpress. Search rgb led.
Tons to pick from. Different lengths etc. $23.00 for 10m, around 30ft.
Quoted from tatman9999:
Couple arcade games Big buck HD, 2 need for speed carbons with nascar in them, MK4, Golden Tee 2015.
Wow, your collection has really changed over the last 5 years. Awesome to see all those shiny new Stern's.
And the theater is looking amazing.
Quoted from herbertbsharp:
Picked up 2 of these signs that came from a local movie theater. Not sure where to put the other one yet. They have LEDs in them but no transformer, just need to figure out how to light them up now.
If they are 12v leds. Just buy a 12v wall wart adapter and cut off the male connector and wire it up.
If you have an old CPU power supply kicking around you can test it with 12 and 5v.
Or just use that to power it.
Got these letters on clearance from Michael's craft store. and added them to my games room. Changing out 2 games soon. So in a few days the lineup will be different.
Last pics of the old game room.
The addition goes up spring 2018.
Going from 150 sq ft to 600 sq ft.
More room for games and boardgaming.
I started hoarding projects.
Currently working on a roadblasters machine. SF 2 retro pi cab.
And on the lookout for more pins.
Hoping for MB remake. And currently on the fence for TNA.
It was supposed to start this spring. But was moved to this Oct. But the new games room is finally going to be built.
It's going over the existing garage.
Almost got cancelled because of me getting sick and not being able to work anymore.
But my wife actually pulled it all together.
And got things sorted financially, so it could still get done.
Well it was a long time coming. And didn't get started on time. Was supposed to be done around Oct 2018. Because I got diagnosed with MS. But it's coming along now. And I'm feeling fantastic.
Games room addition progressing slowly. Would have been much faster if it hadn't rained everyday for 3 + weeks.
But it getting there.
Quoted from ReadyPO:
Looks like a pretty big space. How many games are going to fit?
It's 500 sq ft. With the landing outside the door just under 600.
I only have 3 pins at the moment but in my old room that was less than 1/2 the size. I had 5. And 2 arcades a pachinko. Also I have a bunch of display cases. But sold some of those pins to help fund this addition. See old pics.
Hoping I can have 8-10 pins and 4 arcades eventually. But it's also going to have an area for retro and modern console gaming.
But the pins are going to be a long time from now. And only if I find deals to good to pass up.
Or cheap project pins
I've been working on another custom pin, and 2 arcade cabs as well. But those are on hold as construction is happening. Glad I have this, and tons of other hobbies. With me not being able to work anymore. Fixing and playing machines keeps me busy and active.
But with the cost of this addition. Money is tight.
So no more NIB pins in my immediate future.
Awesome! I'm doing the same type of shelf door on the addition. It's the last thing to go in. Pics once I finally get it all done. Maybe a seperate game room build thread.
A little over a year in the making since construction began. But over 2 years with drawings and permits
Some pics already in this thread..
Bought the Shakespeare bust around 3 years ago on clearance.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:
Great job man. What's your plans with the railings? Metal, wood? Would love to see a pic when finished
Using rebar for the railings. The guy doing the new stairs was finally by a few days ago to finalize measurements. So possibly it will be finished in about 4 more weeks.
