I bought my house thinking this tiny room was going to be enough for however many pinballs I'd own. I currently have 3 sitting in my kitchen waiting for me to refinish my garage, but I'm happy that more than a year later this room is finally full of 6 nice games. No games on fire, no parts scattered on the floor, not 8 games crammed in here as storage, I can finally just play in here!

I'm pretty jealous of the states with basements. Not really an option around here.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

Nice, how big is the garage?

I imagine I'll have room for another dozen games once I get it carpeted and AC installed. I already sold the arcade games that were taking up valuable future pinball space.

My mini gameroom at my brother's house. I live in a 600 sq. ft. apartment and he has a roomy house in the suburbs. He's picking up a DE SW and I'm getting a Congo soon!

At my peak I had a Daytona USA twin, Silent Scope, Pump it Up, Area 51 and 2 pins in my 600 sqft. apartment and you have to keep 2 machines at your brothers house? It's time to get rid of the living room and start really living.

That Time Warp looks sweet with LEDs.

    new garage-cade design priority

Definitely a dream house for a lot of guys with space-intensive hobbies. My dad lives a big house with a single car garage, but his hobby is working on vintage Triumphs. He's been looking for a three car garage with an apartment on top like this.

I find that game kinda boring, I mean its fun annihilating strangers but if u play the original game alot its rather easy to take out everyone and then the round is over fast along with your credits.

It sure takes up a crazy amount of space for a game that's only fun with multiple people too. If I was going to blow a bunch of game room space on something I'd almost never play I'd pick up a Super Chexx or Warlords!

Many arcade games and just 1 pinball machine??? Man, you've got to rethink your priorities!!!

Hey, he has 1.5, let's be fair.

King-pin, any rooms in your house without pinball? Do you have a Mario Mushroom World in a closet somewhere?

It's one of those rare days where I feel like everything is working. Pictures of working games to commemorate the occasion.

Killer gameroom manbearpig, I like how you built it in a laser tag arena.

So blessed to have this hobby and these boys!

Nice, what's Star Trek doing in a lineup of music games though?

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

3.5' is not enough unless you want to rub butts with the guy behind you and it makes taking the glass off more difficult. Twice that would be a lot better cuz then when those 2 people are playing someone could walk behind them to get to other games down the row. You have to think about people room also.

It all depends if he wants to make Bob's Warehouse of Games or Bob's Well Designed and Decorated Game Room. I like having a few inches between machines to comfortably nudge. Some people really cram them together. I don't have "livable space" in my game rooms, so long as one person can play the game comfortably standing up I'm happy. Do you need to be able to take off the glass without pulling the game out of the row? Do aesthetics matter?

All I personally care about is volume. Having the space to entertain is great, but 99.9% of the time I'm playing games alone or with 1-2 people that don't mind that claustrophobia. If I had 900sqft of space to dedicate to games maybe I'd be less concerned about cramming every last one into my garage...

Back when I lived in a 600sqft apartment, I crammed SO much BS in. No need for couches and bars

rcbrown I can't see any of your pics because of the glare coming off that Galaxy cabinet.

This thread always makes me want to buy a new house. At worst other threads might make me want a game or something.

How long is that couch going to last before you squeeze in 3 more games?
