Thought I'd include some action shots from a couple of partys ago. This was from the 8th annual Twelve Hours of Pinball Party in 2010. Its amazing how different it looks now, just two years later.

Thanks but it's just a cheap tin sign from Hobby Lobby I have some ideas on improvements

FINALLY someone said it. Thank you !! Plus why would you want your game room to look like everyone else's with the same decor..? I dont get that, but hey its just me and I dare to be different.

T- shirts look nice , but why does everyone print the art work on the front ?
I would much rather have it on the back.

BINGO !! Thanks for asking that question. I wont even buy a shirt if its printed on the front because I'll never wear it no matter how much I like the design.

    None...
    (1) Not a bowling fan and (2) I didn't like those little lamps installed in the middle of the letters at the arcade sign...

Good for you. It's reproduction crap. Seek out the real thing.

125 playfields in the ceiling here. Way less then $5K spent, not sure how much but there's no way I spent that much through trades and bulk buys ...

    Why so few pins though?

If you look in the corner of that drawing it's dated October 2001 which would have been the latest revision at that time. It totaled 56 pins. Since then I've crammed in about another twenty. Who needs windows, right?

Great collection but talk to me about that large ARCADE sign. Whats the story on it?

    John

    #11671 11 months ago
    Quoted from Cdonnerusmc:

I was actually over in Iraq in 09-10 and found this listed on Ebay out of Jersey. Wanted 20k or best offer, it was originally on the New Jersey boardwalk back in the early 60s. Anyway I worked out a good deal on it and bought it and had it shipped out to the Oregon coast. I since found led replacements out of an outfit in Colorado and it has cut way back on the power usage. Each section is 10 foot long by 4 foot tall .

Wow that's an amazing story. I never would have guessed it was what, twenty feet long? Looks smaller then that from the picture. Great job and it looks awesome, from one sign guy to another.

I'm a sign guy so please keep me in mind should you ever decide to sell it. I've never been to Oregon but I can see me making the trip.

KEEP the clean look by all means!
The look is modern and tasteful and, yes...clean.
Unless the sign outside says "Billy's" and your address includes a state hwy, leave well enough alone.

He just needs better stuff is all. I suggest staying away from reproduction anything if at all possible, original is always better. Clean is nice but gets boring quick. Good luck with whatever you decide.

There needs to be a thread for people to share their real-sized dolls.

You could always dress up the ceiling a little bit with whatever you like. In my case it's 125 of what I liked....

Cowboy slots are not as rare as you might think. I've seen many different ones over the years in different places from game rooms to auctions to shows..... Prices probably average less then $2K on certain ones..., it just depends. They are neat though.

    John

    #13191 4 months ago
    Quoted from dirkdiggler:

I found a few selling/sold in the $1500 - $2500 range with not much research. There's only 107 total made so rare enough.

I think I've seen more then that over the years...., there has to be more then one manufacture of them then.

    Quoted from Bundy:

To me a game room thread is more about the actual room. I know what an IJ or WW looks like when it is on.
I come here to get inspiration and see what people have done with flooring, walls, lighting, furniture’s and such.
But of cause it does not hurt if the games are on but it is not a necessity for me at least.

Exactly my thoughts as well!! Couldn't have said it better myself.
