Quoted from Ed209:He's just upset that no has released a Ghostbusters pin yet.
Contact SKIT-B rumor has it is next in line for production
Quoted from MustangPaul:Coming along nicely. Don't ya wish you could get rid of that pole.
Just need to replace it with a brass one!

Brady's ego must be "deflated" after two interceptions!
Quoted from Wickerman2:start a "gameroom pics only NO TALKING!!" thread
well then, shut up! pleeze
Just finished it !!!!
I started with a 1979 Stern Dracula playfield, that was stripped of it mechanicals & lights.
I put in new pop bumper caps, and rubber rings.
Flippers are used bats & rings with a balsa wood inserted & glued to the playfield.
Now has LED Christmas lights & Reproduced score cards.
Note the top pop bumper is incorrect. The original playfield had a Passive Bumper.
The last two pictures from the construction stage.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Can you show the wiring on the back side?
I used a bunch of insulated staples to hold the lights in place. Also the center hole of the metal pop bumper base was opened to 11.0 mm to allow passage of LED. Sorry only 1 fuzzy picture from my phone. I covered the bottom up and it is screwed in place,
Quoted from xsvtoys:That beach is pretty much standard size like what we have around here. But, as nice as the beach is, like a lot of people we are looking at ways to get out of CA. One place I have been checking out is Montana. I saw a place for sale on Zillow for a reasonable price that has a grass landing strip and an airplane hangar. Now I guarantee you, I will never fly my own plane. So the question is, does this space look like a possibility for something else?
better get a lot of insulation for that hangar if you want to play your games in the winter.
Quoted from Chosen_S:Worse: complaining about this post -
even worst, complaining about the complainers.
Quoted from dirkdiggler:Laminate flooring is super cheap, comes in 100s of colors and styles, easy cleanup and put those little felt protectors under the legs and games are a breeze to move around. Just a thought.
Yes,Laminate is TOO CHEAP! I have it in a rental property. It very thin availble 7mm, SURFACE SOUCE from Lowes now discontinued. Project source the replacement is not the same the side locks are the same but the ends are different So what ever brand you buy get an extra box. Easy to scratch our gouge, any water spills will cause damage...ends swell up and buckle. Just not worth the money for a long term investment. Cheap & quick, if your flipping the house.
My current home I had built in '93 we did REAL hardwood 2 years after it was built. We priced out Pergo a good brand for the DIY. Then got quotes for hardwood. Glen the Guy did the hardwood for about 250.00 more than the Pergo. In three days I had a great floor and only had to write a check.
Quoted from xsvtoys:Your controls are awesome. I took these shots at the Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center. These were going to be my inspiration for something similar in my game room, but you beat me to it! I hope to build something that cool. You probably can buy some of this stuff in some surplus place somewhere.
found this on Ebarf, for sale, old tape reader for CNC machine...
Quoted from swillie:At the expense of wasting a bit of space I think a batpole to get down from 2nd floor would be pretty awesome...
And it could be used for dancers too.
Quoted from Scoot:My game room is my kitchen/dining room. These two pins take up almost half of my apartment. Who needs a kitchen table anyway. I may even have enough for one more if I get rid of the fridge...
Bad Idea .... How would you keep your beer cold?
Quoted from Roostking:I'll take the AZ heat 5 months out of the year, and no other weather related problems, thank you very much lol.
A house with a basement 30 feet down ... nice and cool rear round
Quoted from pinzrfun:Had about 60 people over this past weekend, figured i'd take some "before" pics while the game room was clean... everyone always likes the mad scientist bar...
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
you could put some vintage 70s audio equipment in the rack by the bar.
Quoted from Squeakman:Maybe the title of this thread should be changed to "what people pay for child care"? Bring on the game room pictures!
why do they pay somebody else to care for their kids?
I must be wrong I thought being a parent meant you took care of your children.
Quoted from littlecammi:So...guessing you charge visitors a buck to play your new Total Annihilation pin?
.
Hey there is an Idea! But No, I don't.
I invited friends over last Friday to play. My other games got some play too.
The slots could have made me some coin, but they need repair.
Quoted from kciaccio:I am 30 days away from finalizing my divorce...Selling my my house and buying a new one...My current game room was too small anyway...Helping me get through the divorce....New house won't have any compromises in my desires...
[quoted image]
and you can leave the seat UP !
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:I don’t put batteries in mine. Im afraid of them leaking. I just put a tree light close to light it up a little.
We have a few mas decorations that use AA and AAA batteries some of them leaked. Now the rule is remove batteries before
storag
Quoted from QuickSilverShelby:Are those "car" signs above your pinball machines? I though mixing car references with pinball was total Blasphemy? I'm sorry I love your games, your room, your passion and your photography skills but I had to give you a "thumbs down" fir this obvious, egregious transgression on your part.
Snicker.
QSS
Only BEER and HOCKEY signs allowed? Eh?
here is my game room... tell me what the one on the far right is.
signs 003 (resized).JPGQuoted from QuickSilverShelby:By the way bob_e, that's a nice red Miata in your first picture. Is it your wife's car?
QSS
You forgot the sarcasm emoji...
Not a Miata, and my wife drives my 2000 Corvette Convertible, 6-speed manual.
My car, The Panoz has a 4-cam aluminum V-8 320 HP, 5-speed manual. Hand Built. Aluminum body and chassis.
Panoz Auto development is in Hoschton Georgia https://panoz.com/
Quoted from ramegoom:Well, no. It actually starts with two pinball machines. Male and a female. And you didn't realize it when you bought them.
Somehow, they mate and reproduce. The collections you see here are products of offspring.
That's my story anyway.
No, I started with just one game. But I think I fed it after midnight.
Quoted from jorge5240:We r in business!!! Post more pics later but very happy!!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Just how freaking big is it??? and heavy
i don't think it will fit thru my door
Quoted from jorge5240:I don’t think it would ever fit through a standard door. Set up it is 6 feet by 5.5 feet and weighs 825 pounds. I know it comes apart into two pieces but fortunately we did not have to do that to get in the garage but is huge.
just a forklift ............

the basement is collecting games, some are playable some need TLC some need a complete overhaul.
I five weeks I brought home five games...
Space Mission: project underway
Hot Shot: is working fine
Atlantis: Gottlieb, project underway
Close Encounters is working and has the Pascal IV Pi card
Target Alpha: Came in as project, had 23,499 on the play meter, very clean
fixed all the steppers, rings, cleaning, lamps. And it is working fine now.
Quoted from BallyTim:Yeah, lol. My ex would've NEVER allowed that! lol
Just one of the reasons she has the title EX....
Quoted from mbeardsley:I've seen foosball tables get a little warped before...but that it ridiculous.
That is the special Orbiter edition. very rare!
Quoted from Jaeg:Just finished mine last night. I thought it was cool until the family called it the Tiger King bedroom.[quoted image]
Quoted from Charlemagne1987:Ha! I love it. I was actually wondering about a Tiger King pin as I watched the show. That's hilarious.
I found the picture on Facebook. Never seen the show, just heard a lot of buzz.
Quoted from ElectricLou:It’s a alcohol analyzer [quoted image]
Who has the high score?
Quoted from adborto:My wife “gave” me my half of the garage to put games in. Not sure what she was thinking. Maybe I’ll be living with this guy soon?!
[quoted image]
sweet pooch whats his name?
Quoted from jorge5240:A guy a few pages back had one of these. Thinking about getting one but seeing if there is other feedback out there.
Thanks
[quoted image]
And Then it is who gets the High Score !!!
Quoted from Dr-pin:Looking good, even though i think voyager is better then tng.
the chick captain gets them lost on the very first episode....
Quoted from ToucanF16:Late 70s Japanese audio gear is classic! What’s up with the TT? Hope you’re able to get it fixed!
speed control, kinda wonky
step 1 is de-oxit
step 2 is replace the small board with speed selection and pitch controls, I have one.
step 3 replace main motor control board I bought one of those too.
step 4 adjust tone arm return, I have the manual, yep another ebarf purchase
step 5 get the JVC QLA5 repaired wont power up.
Quoted from ramegoom:I have six machines plus a crane game on a singl 20 amp circuit. All converted to LEDs and never any issues. I believe an LED modded pinball will reduce the current load by 30-40% depending on the game.
I just bought a Stern Meteor with LEDs in the back box, to reduce power consumption. But still have incandescent bulbs on the playfield, I don't care for the disco strobe effect you get on the ball in play.
Quoted from BrettRS:My very modest basement game room. The dartboard is only up cause we're playing our normal bar dart league virtually on Zoom, cause of COVID, so we have 4 boards up in various spots in my house so me and my team can all shoot here together, while also being able to roll 4 singles matches at once. Even with the the darts and cam setup on the right, have room for another machine or two ASAP. Been having a blast with Royal Flush but I want a second, newer game pretty badly. Haven't seen anything for sale close enough that I love enough to drop some bills on. But I've got my eyes open all day looking for machine #2, so it'll come sooner rather than later.
[quoted image]
Soon you will have 4 games in the room, it all starts with one then a second... then they come home 2 or 3 at a time.
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:I know a guy who spent 20+ years building a model railroad down his basement. Awesome HO layout! And he said the same thing! His grand kids rather sit in a corner and play with their cell phones. This is truly disturbing to me!
Maybe he should have gone with O guage and built the Addams Family layout complete with the "dynamite". Best part was when Gomez blew up the trains.
t1 (resized).jpgt2 (resized).jpgt3 (resized).jpgQuoted from punkin:The look on the builders faces when you tell them you want a 1 bedroom, 3 bathroom mansion.
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
[quoted image]
It only gets worse when you tell them you want doors onto the roof so you can shoot skeet and play tennis.
Pins and bar area under the residence. Full length deck will open out to the side from the residence/mezzainie floor (not pictured yet).

Add a 8 car walk/driveouit lower level for parking your cars
Quoted from Roostking:That Time Machine backglass is really cool!
not only that a part of the playfield drops down, and clear acrylic is flush to playfield to get to stand ups.
Quoted from EJS:I gave myself a 4 day weekend.
I gave myself the whole month !!!!
Quoted from EJS:Got part of the basement reorganized for a get together.
[quoted image]
Get your Fire Queen / Vulcan assembled soon
Quoted from Viggin900:My Pinball Hall of Fame in the gameroom. All the games I have owned and sold get their flyer framed on the wall. Sort of like how some people have hunting trophies!
[quoted image]
I have both, White Tail deer taken from by "backyard" I'm on 10 acres. I have framed flyers and back glass from games I like. And the logo from my Panoz. About 24"x28" pressed and painted aluminum.
DSCN3825 (resized).JPGDSCN3826 (resized).JPGQuoted from poppapin:Deer? I see a jackelope!!
the deer are on the other wall
RFM (resized).JPGDSCN3827 (resized).JPGQuoted from ShinyBall:Unless......you live in Michigan
You have to insulate the walls and buy a insulated garage door, then add heat. eazy peazy
Quoted from Jecco74:My second home… The office.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Covering the playfield with those mats takes D.E. Tommy's to a whole new level
Cool,so if ya don't keep them clean.... You have dirty magazines</blockquote
My wife says I have dirty magazines... but I read them for the articles.
Quoted from cconway84:Buy a 12k sq foot house in Aspen for 35.5 million and get the pinball gameroom included. But only a MMR classic BM66 and a WOZ.

just one problem I'm about 35 million short...
Quoted from PeterG:Well it is true, they do multiply.

you are not to feed them ( quarters ) after midnight, thats how it happens.
Quoted from NashtyFunk:Current state. Waiting on Rush LE and Alien LV.

Great Room just how big is it?
Quoted from dirkdiggler:You win! My humble other side of the gameroom. Wife's kicking my ass tonight at both darts and pool
[quoted image]
don't play for money, that's when their skill set improves
Quoted from JRC6000:I'm so happy to finally be able to share on this thread. We converted our junky garage with pinballs in it to my electromechanical workshop. Last year we insulated the garage doors and added a mini split. This year we cleaned it up, repaired and painted the walls and ceiling, changed out the light fixtures, and put down carpet tiles. I wanted it to function as both a game room and a workshop. We got it done just in time for a graduation party earlier this month. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I spend more time out there now than inside the house!!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Great Game room but I would replace thee dry chemical fire extinguisher with a CO2 dry-chemical is bad for wiring and makes a big mess
just my .02 worth of opinion
Quoted from punkin:Beer fridge, a fridge with beer in it? If it doesn't have beer in it it's just a fridge.
My nephew has a Kegerator maybe you should look into one of those.
Quoted from DiabloRush:Well, a few months work turned our basement closet into my new gameroom. Before and after pics. Hmmm, something about those 4 Sterns all lined up. What could it be? I just can't put my finger on it. Oh yeah. That's it. Need to trade the Mando for an AIQ. Anyone interested.
Pics before, remodel, and after in order:

Will you be making a Lego Iceberg ?
This is the stepson's future game room. About 15' square. The paint colors were his choice. done a week ago. Cameron and his mom pulled up the old carpet Friday. The vinyl laminate floor done Saturday. Yesterday we did the baseboard trim. So today Cameron will paint the white trim. 5 LED light are in the ceiling, his dad took care of that.
r1 (resized).jpgr2 (resized).jpgr3 (resized).jpgAdded a payphone to my room. It would work if I had a land line to connect it to. The phone was rebuilt with electronics to block out long distance calls. Typically they were sold to laundromats, "quarter" carwashes and other stores. They were good money makers for independent operators before the cell phones became the norm.
PH1 (resized).jpgPH2 (resized).jpgQuoted from zebpin61:Installed 2 nest thermostats in our 1890 house and have enjoyed sizeable savings on both heating and cooling seasons. According to our utility provider, our usage is consistently in the top 10% of efficient homes. Works for us.
I have a simple programable thermostat. with 4 settings for "weekdays" 2 setting for "weekends".
But my big saver for summer is the whole house fan. Open the windows and draw in the cool morning air, when its cool out, 57 right now expected high 83.
Quoted from gandamack:Got a contractor coming out this week to talk about constructing a gameroom. When you constructed your room was there anything that you wished you had done before it was completed?
well I had my house built before I was into pinball. So my game room has just enough outlets for my games but they are not on a dedicated circuit.
So power and lighting. HVAC locations. Wet bar. Big screen and sound system.
