    Quoted from jfh:

My game room is almost complete -
    1) Theater Room and bathroom:

Wow, I figured your basement would turn out nice based on early pics, but the finished product is spectacular. While you could have filled your whole basement with games, your overall design is better by a long shot. Now the rest of your house becomes useless.

When done my game room will be 1800sqft. Eta June 2016

An 1800 sf game room is a perfect size!

    Quoted from twenty84:

The video games I made myself. There is a thread on the arcade controls forum where I describe how they work:
    http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,141265.0.html
They are attached to the wall but do not go through it. They are much thinner than the originals because they use a LCD monitor. The games are emulated on a Raspberry Pi (except for Fix-it-Felix Jr. which uses a Windows 7 PC). There is no danger of them falling off the wall.

Very nice idea, much better than a single MAME cabinet.

    Quoted from Wickerman2:

Anybody use anything to protect the stairs (treads/flooring) while bringing games to a basement? I'm afraid to scratch up some nice finished wood stair treads taking a dolly down them. I've found tread coverings but they are all intended to be fixed in place permanently. Also came across plastic sheeting type stuff that would work better for carpet I think.
Only other idea I had was padded moving blankets...I can see myself tripping with those.
    Any ideas?

The plastic sheeting for carpet works well. With wood stairs it's even more important to have some adhesion to the stairs... maybe kraft paper taped down?
