I'm going to be finishing a 2000sq ft basement gameroom in a month or so and have a question for those with the led strip light accents: how do you wire them together? All the ones I see say only 16 foot and that's all it can handle. Do you just do them separate and the remote controls all of the separate strips? Will one remote work for separate strips? Thanks. It'll be months before I get to accent lighting, but I want to have my power outlets built in where needed. Here is the space I havel96e95f45-m16o.jpgl96e95f45-m17o.jpgl96e95f45-m15o.jpg
Thats not even the pin area. The right wall will have a row, but the rest is theatre area. If only there were no poles at all down there!
Ya, just a 36 inch wall that ill put a countertop on to make a little bar besides the good sized bar im also building. I may eventually get an air hockey for the front of it. The way its looking i should be able to fit 30 pins, my skeeball, air hockey, foosball, tv/theatre area and a bar. Im going to put a tv in the bathroom and add a urinal just because, and i was originally thinking of putting a megatouch in there until i realized that that is pretty gross! Ill pist the progress every so often!
The pole in that area will be blocked in and have light switches on it, the other poles will probably have small tables on them for drinks
I finished wiring the lights today in the whole basement. Itll be 1600 square foot not including the bathroom, and im now wondering if i overdid the lights. I have 62 recessed lights for the whole thing. The main area has 20 lights, that is 12x32ish section. It seems nice and bright now, but thats without drywall being up. Did i go overboard??? They will all be on dimmers at least
Right now they arent leds, but that may change when drywalls up and games are going. The baffles will be eyeballs to focus light away from playfields, im hoping between baffles and dimmers itll be fine, but i definately think i overdid the lights, rather have too many than not enough! Same with outlets.
The canadian marshall is pretty sweet!
Quoted from str8cash:Up here in Canada Costco did a limited run for us hosers. Like $75 more but still looks sweet.
I googled flipper skill game sign, and there was another image that was slightly easier to read. I know for sure that after the first word that i think is copyright there is the copyright logo, then a year that starts with 200, then gottlieb something llc
Quoted from weaverj:was there ever a state championships of game rooms? we would have a registration period of a week, then we'd vote on our favorite from each state. it would be pretty cool, to see where we rank on a state level to see how far we need to go.
i'm officially proposing this. it would go much smoother with some help from pinside, i believe. something on the main page, at least a stickie on the forums.
It would be interesting, but what do you rank it on? Decor, use of space, lighting, overall coolness? Or quality of games and amount?
Quoted from Roostking:Great, lets rank game rooms so other can feel inferior for posting them up. Bad idea. I want to see every game room, from the closet to the Taj Majal. I respect them equally.
Good point. I do like seeing all rooms. Even the smallest. Everyone has great ideas that you can draw off of, and some of the coolest tech ive seen anywhere
Quoted from pinzrfun:Trying to squeeze a Jet Spin and Tri-Zone down here too....not succeeding...
That game room is one of the best ive seen!
