My game room is more of a pinball cave -a converted storage closet in the basement that we put a couple barn doors leading into. Kinda secluded but a nice getaway for the Dad-mule...

I went with a really dark grey - which really makes the glow of the neon signs vibrant....

Just gotta show the love for this thread - anybody can put a pic of their game room / barcade / pinball cave / 1 machine stuffed in a corner on here and people just pour forth with cool ideas, good questions, suggestions, encouragement, and love for all things pinball. Greatest thread ever...

Change in the line-up warrants new pics of the pinball cave. Now out of room and so it's a little tight but it is outta the way and secluded.

Looking at changing up my lineup a bit - will post pics when completed. Developing a love for late B/W pins. Growing tired on deep rulesets that I can't complete anyway...

    Quoted from Mizzou0103:

I'm starting to work on a game room and was wondering which pinball and non-pinball games are the most popular with guests?

With pins it seems to take themes that everybody knows or games that are self explanatory work well - in my game room POTC draws most people right away because it has both recognizable theme and obvious ship shot. AFM is also popular since it is cartoon like and the main saucer shot straight up the middle just begs to be hit. Also recommend a straight-forward vid, like ms pacman, which everyone knows how to play... Gotta believe that a Skee-Ball would be really popular if u have the room.

that's Ranger - turns out he loves to watch tennis so he's been watching the Australian Open by the hour - so he would really dig pinball that is if he could just see the playfield...

Thanks for the mention - Go Bucks!!! Go Blue Jackets - whoops lost in the first round again...
Yes, it is about 10 feet deep max and width is just enough for 7 pins with about 1/2" (or roughly 1.5 cm) in between. The floor is a tan epoxy resin and the walls are painted with waterproofing and then battleship grey paint. Depending on which neon signs are one it can look anywhere from pink to blue to green in the pinball cave.

Once again WAR EAGLE and if you ever come down for a game you should come over join us in some pinball, either way love the space!

Will do! I used to come down for the business school reunion every year but haven't been for awhile. Maybe I am due for a visit to the Loveliest Village on the Plains...

I have a little cart that lifts them and so I cart them up and wheel them out of the way, do what needs to be done and then wheel them back! A bit of a pain but you do what you need to get as many pins jammed into a small space...

    Quoted from kermit24:

Here is the latest config - Huge household victory is that a game have been placed outside the gameroom boundary!

I am preparing to fight that battle myself with possibly 2 games coming in but finding a home outside of the pin cave....

Where did you get your Reds neon light? I have to have one!

    Neonsignsus.com

Go to google and type in Cincinnati reds neon signs
Then pick the listing for NeonSignsUs where underneath the title it says somelike Cincinnati Red primary 1972 1992 primary logo MLB

I like the bar stool with the baseball base. Neat!!
    Is it comfortable ?

Suprisingly there are pretty comfortable - at least for the duration of a pinball game....
