Just a sketch up at this point....but it's summer project time!!! If anyone cares here is a REALLY rough sketch of the game room we'll be building this Summer (couldn't fine the Time Warp model so I put Blackout) and the Gorgar is at my office so this Gorgar is just a stand-in for my desk.

well I know who i'm hanging out with this weekend....

    #4167 4 years ago

13'x12' 7" . The coffee table is the one thing that will have to move around. The blue door goes outside and we won't be using that door a lot, except to bring games in and out and maybe during the summer. So I am ok having that table float as needed........We're bringing the experts out later this week or early next week to get the ball rolling. Pics when things happen.

IT HAS BEGUN....well I bought 4 windows and a door....plan on putting shades on them, but wanted some ventilation. Def worried about sun. But the one wall doesn't get a lot, and like I said, I will have shades on it.

I'm fast approaching the build phase. Power requirements have been reviewed. Sun exposure has been addressed. Mini split heat pump to be ordered. What other elements should I take into consideration while I have the builders at my beck and call....

    Quoted from jedimastermatt:

I put up some of the thermal rejecting (mirror finished) window tint on all my floor to ceiling windows.

Cool. I'll look into that. My wife will like that. PART of the reason I am moving out to my own space is that she doesn't like how dark I keep the current one......

    #4196 4 years ago

HH is a game everyone should have!!! Still haven't joined the club...but I shall

    Quoted from AlexSMendes:

I did not know this game, but judging by the ipdb pics, the playfield looks so different than average.... It really must be an awesome game!

It is the lowest rated game on here. But I sure love it. The theme is iffy...well honestly just the backglass is iffy. The game is amazing!

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

What's the size of the room?

13x 13. I plan on covering some of the windows. We're just building it so it has some flexibility. Believe it or not but my wife felt we needed windows....phhhh....whatever...hahaha. I have been given the word I can do with it as I please. Which basically means I can leave all my pinball parts laying around. hahaha Stoked!

    #4372 4 years ago

More or less this will be the layout. Hard to believe, the room 'feels' so big.....4 pins and a desk sure take up a lot of room... If I need to I can squeeze two more in....who needs both doors, ha

    Screen Shot 2015-05-11 at 9.18.27 PM.png

    #4374 4 years ago

Yeah. I think I'll keep it at 4 plus my desk and a love seat. Then rotate. Good news is I have one at my office and there is room for one more there My bull pen!

    #4383 4 years ago

Yeah the view is what drew me to this house and I love looking out there. I should be able to get 4 in no issues without really compromising the room. I dig. Spent much of today on insulation and landscaping.... Coming along.

    Quoted from AlexSMendes:

Looks like you've got a great view outside! Can you at least keep the left door always shut and move your pin sideways so you are able take the glass out whenever you need without having to move pins around?

but a dependable vehicle in the winter takes precedence

What about the delorean?? You could just jump right over winter....

    #4408 4 years ago
    Quoted from NPO:

which could result in loss of my job and me going AWOL, destroyed credit, bankruptcy, and homelessness.

Homelessness.....the real reason no one time travels....

    #4413 4 years ago
    Quoted from NPO:

I am with you as long as I can fit between the machines comfortably to work on/diagnose them. I am one of those nutcases that prefers space between my machines in case I have to service them for any reason. I cannot stand moving and shifting my machines every time I have to work on one of them.

I am with you on that. I need my space!

    #4419 4 years ago
    Quoted from AlexSMendes:

I used to agree with you guys..... until I bought another pinball machine, and another, and another..... and then I thought.... what the heck.... I know, it sucks big time having to move the machines around whenever I need to do any maintenance, but what can I do?

I limited it to 4 in my house (might squeeze it to 5) and then I put the rest in my office......VERY good at keeping up productivity....

Last iteration of the current setup before we start putting up walls and floor in the new room..

And here I was so excited to share the update on my 190sft room......sheesh.. squeezing in 5 is a Tetris feat......one day....

Anyway, ALMOST done. I am hopefully starting to move some stuff in tomorrow and then deck it out...soon?

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

What are the dimentions of the room? Looks like you could fit more then 5.

My panorama is deceptive. It's only 180 sft, so 13x13. with a french door one one side, the entry door on the other and the heat pump air exchanger I am kinda limited to where I can put games. TECHNICALLY I COULD fit more. But even though the windows will be diffused (UV film) and have cellular blinds on them....we have to leave 3 of the 4 clear-ish. So says the boss. Which don't totally disagree with. PLUS one of the windows has to be open to leave room to get in and out of the damn place.....shees....can't a man just block himself into a game room??

    #4816 4 years ago
    Quoted from MustangPaul:

    13x12=169 not 180

Thanks a lot. You just took 11 square feet from my room!!! Hahahahahah. It's cool. I like the windows. Im sure at some point i might cover another window. But for now I'm digging what I have. Keeps me from going overboard like Pinhead. That room is amazing!!!

    #4819 4 years ago

Pinhead that JM you got there should would look good with a few mods....I know a guy...ha

    #4824 4 years ago

Here is the start in my 169000 square metre room. Still 3 pins to go. And some trim, neon, LEDs, and surprises... But its a start! And better than a boring shared room

I have the windows covered for now until the blinds come. Just took it down to take a pic.

As for the curtsins... to each his/her own I guess. Ha. We're all a little different. Some more than others.
