We have recently finished the Game Room Build! It took about 7 months. It is finally at a place that I can post pictures
The few at the beginning are before.
Quoted from PinPickle:Agreed. Looks awesome, I would be interested to know more on the floor as well. Epoxy?
Yes it is Epoxy in my basement. I had 6 different quotes and finally chose a company. My idea was to have the colors and artwork similar to Vincent Van Gogh Starry Nights. Blue some white and some yellow swirled in. I wanted the look of water or glass so I opted out of NON slip material sprinkled on at the end which IMO takes away from the glass look. As it is, it is NOT slippery so I made the right decision. This a metallic epoxy. I was happy with the finished product.
Mine is amazingly easy to clean. If there are spills or anything. Epoxy will also strengthen the existing concrete and supposedly give some extra protection against cracking. Time will tell on that!
Quoted from jorge5240:The whole thing is awesome. But man I love that floor!!!!
Thank you. Most people say it looks better in person than the pictures. Some have said "HMMMM it looks like a bowling ball finish" and I am good with that!
Quoted from NeilMcRae:amazing to see all the rooms.
I have been drooling over your game room for over a year !! Finally got mine!!
Quoted from NeilMcRae:wow what a stunning place man - love it! you should do a walk round!
Neil.
Thanks Neil. I think I will do that and post it soon!
Quoted from dyopp21:Just to add to the discussion about illuminating old playfields. I used a cheap LED sequencer called "LED Magician" and cut an LED strip into small sections and soldered the wires to the small copper pads that are populated all along the strip. I think the sequencer has 10 or so different patterns and will accommodate around 15 different channels. I've done 4 playfields so far and will add more after I get my room set up later. The sequencer was around $25 as I recall.
Here's some video of one for the wall:
And also some video of a few playfields I put in a bar:
I was so excited when I saw this. I have been looking for something like the LED magician. It appears they are discontinued and no longer available. I guess I just need to go with the fairy Lights, Unless anybody else has other Ideas to share
Quoted from MrMikeman:Here's my 15$ solution from Amazon. Sorry for the short clip. There's 8-10 different flashing patterns and didn't feel like recording for 4-5 mins to get them all.
amazon.com link »
They have 50 and 100 light strings. I used 100 lights.
I was focused on an expensive, complicated, sophisticated sequencer. Until you posted this!
It took me 45 minutes to setup and $11.95
Thanks for posting the info!

gameroom of the month (resized).jpg
Quoted from TimMachine:Impressive! I really like the blue floor.
Thank you. It is a Metallic epoxy with several different colors
Quoted from ToucanF16:Very nice game room. If you don’t mind, what’s the square footage down there?
Total gameroom and bar area is 1500 SQ foot
Quoted from gorditas:Awesome collection and gameroom. If you ever get over A2 way, hit me up and come play a few games. I have two you have, two you don't!
I was always wondering what major cross streets you are located near?
Quoted from pacman11:I recognize that voice, nice looking game room. You showed me the pictures but they don't do it justice compared to the video. Did your buddy ever find a Funhouse?
No he changed his mind!
Quoted from pacman11:Talked to Jerry the other day went to his house to have him fix my two player soccer game. Hopefully I'll have a nice playing game soon, I've had that thing sitting for a couple years now because I couldn't find a power supply for it.. Anyways nice collection!
Thanks. You passed me on way to Jerrys. You should of stopped by and see it in Person!
Quoted from Chosen_S:That was awesome!!!
Could you please expand a little more on your custom animation displays? I’d like to build myself a few
Sorry for the delay. This is really cool and a little different than the rUN dmd CLOCK. Here is the site that I purchased it from:
https://pixelcade.org/
Its basically a Marquee that could also work in a Multicade or MAME Cabinet
He also sells an art pack with the files! There are many MORE files available and you can also up load your own files/animations as well
Here is a video of the operation of my pixelcade wall art!
Quoted from Neal_W:The animations are really stuttering. That would drive me nuts.
The frame rate of the video does not show what you see with the physical eye. The animations are smooth and the same as you would see on a DMD display in the game in real life with the exception of the slow motion Donkey kong. Its beeter in real life and since its running in the background ads a nice touch to the walls in a gameroon!
