2nd that.. And while I'm here, I'll brag a little too. Here's a small
piece of my second gameroom.

Quoted from ToucanF16:I love the drop ceiling and checkerboard tile floor.
Thanks. I did most of the work myself with help from my Neighbor and Brother-in-Law.
Not bragging this time, just saying that I'm far from rich. Still have the upstair's to finish off,
and yup, for more machines..
Quoted from Bronty:you guys with full ski-ball and bowling lanes in your rooms, holy smokes!
You are right, they take up much space. These three take up space where at least 20 Pins could
fit, but during gatherings, they get played much more than not..
Once the house got paid off, I had to add on for other machines that I had stashed away through out
the years. It was enjoyful to see them once again after many years of storage.. (T)
Quoted from shirkle:Is that the side of a Block-A-Shot in your first picture?
You got it, Wow! I hadn't known of another one in a game room either. Maybe, what's that game next
to the Skee Ball, but I never gave it a thought that someone would actually know it's a Block-a-Shot!
I have a few machines that make players swear and laugh at the same time, but B-a-S easily
takes #1 in that department (especially laugh). When I play, I try to take the left side where the White
Guy is the blocker, so if I lose, I can use the excuse that the Black Guy jumps higher..
I got it a few years ago shortly after an old local Vendor (and Friend) had past away. He had it in storage
since 1976. I received it still in the box. When he use to come over, he told me many interesting old
time stories. The B-a-S is pretty special to me.. (T)
Quoted from Bronty:I'll tell you this, you get a huge +1 for the Dogs Playing Poker tapestry
A couple years ago I sold my old pool table (4.5' X 9') to a Friend (Mike Santelli) so I could buy another Friend's
(Mike Santelli, two Friends with the same name) AE schmitt pool table and he said that the tapestry goes with the
table and I had to put it up, and I did have an open wall near the pool table, so that's where it went. I knew that I liked his table
because I played on it a few years back, but didn't know how well of a table it was until after I got it and looked up reviews
on Maine Home Recreation. Really like that table, and it's a 4' X 8', so now have nice walking room in that area.. (T)
Quoted from Bronty:Dogs Playing Poker tapestry lol
Oh, this went right past me. Yes, the pooshes playing poker is the best one. The one that I have
they're playing pool. I do have a poker table, so maybe some day..
Only pic (partcial) I have of the poker chip table.. (T)
Quoted from Pugsley:I would think that having a MBA would make the ABC underplayed?
You're right. If I had to pick, I would certainly say the MBA gets more play than the Bally ABC, and the MBA is
by far more realistic to real bowling, but I'm still thinking it doesn't get played a whole lot more..
I initially added the ABC so that the players who lose out in the 1st round of the annual Feb. blind draw partners
bowling tournament can play another set of rounds on the ABC and have a chance to win their entree fee ($5.00)
back so it's not just one lose and out for them. But even when the tournament isn't going on, some like playing
the ABC. Probably more of the ones that can't roll the ball as straight as others, but still some of the pretty good
players also. I can say that later in the evening when I'm still plenty awake, but not as awake as earlier in the evening,
I don't mind playing on the ABC. With less consintration, you can still make a pretty good shot..
Quoted from xsvtoys:And what is behind the curtain?
Maybe the door, but looking at the last pic, seems it's a slider on the inside.
Perhaps it got converted to the outside, or made to slide between the interior
and exterior walls..??
Quoted from AlexF:Here's a few pics my wife took tonight.
That is a superb vintage looking gameroom. Very nice set up..
Yeah, plenty of space with comfortable seating. What's the make of the Pool Table?
4.5' x 9', right?
Quoted from Knx873:Dufferan. Yes that's the size.
I'm not sure if I've ever played on a Dufferan. Maybe in an old local Pool Hall
back when I was a Teen.. Nice looking table..
Quoted from ToucanF16:the pool table is taking up way too much room for other pins!
They do take up space, but during parties, mine gets played as much as anything else,
and in the earlier days being on leagues, I still have pool playing Buddies. I need to keep
mine set up.. (T)
Quoted from EricHadley:This is soon to be my new game room!
That's beautiful! Have a pic of the upcoming gameroom?
Your driveway has to be fairly lengthy, but your soon to be neighbor
up above has to have a pretty long winding one.
Quoted from rcbrown316:Same game room. Updated collection.
That's your game room in Webster?! Do you sometime have gatherings?
4.5 x 9' Pool Table? (T)
Quoted from AlexSMendes:any game-room pics?
Here's one line up that I have, and having a couple Mopars myself, I
wouldn't mind maybe seeing a pic of the Swinger (and the Mustang)..
Quoted from ramegoom:Nine year old birthday party in my game room today.
I had a few young Birthday Parties in the Game Room also. Great to see
Kids having a good time with the games..
What's the United on the left of the Shuffle Bowler?
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:I have numerous EM project games awaiting restoration.)
These are mostly the other pins that I presently have set up, and
I also have quite a few more that I really would like to get to but presently
I'm out of space until I get the upstairs addition finished (which at the time is
loaded with stored machines). Between the two rooms, most of the space is
taken up with EM Arcades, but once the upstairs addition gets finished, I'll have
room for many more as long as I keep it strictly pins, but I also have other
good size EM Arcades I'd really like to go through..
Quoted from smokedog:My game room ...
Now that's a room I would have a good time at!
Quoted from MustangPaul:Your place must sound really musical with all those chimes going off all at the same time.
Yes, those chimes (and even more so "Bells") do put rings in the air..
There's a video someplace on here that a Friend placed from last Febs.
annual Pinball/Arcade party that does pic up the chimes, but I don't know how
to reload it. I'm not great with this lab top, but I'm not bad with this kind of stuff..
Quoted from anthonyk:Maybe one day
Give it deep thought before you start, because most likely,
they'll be no finish..
Quoted from MustangPaul:2 nice adds but too bad about the pool table.
The Ball Bowlers, Pool Table, and Skee Ball are
some of the top ones played during gatherings.
Quoted from Electronmagic:so go easy on me if I mess it up.
That's a very nice mess up. Tape on the floor=Dart Machine?
Quoted from ZNET:Today, I've crammed 40 games into my utilitarian gameroom
Nice! No longer any room for even one of the Coca Cola machines?
I have a Vendo 39, and one from the 60s. I plan on restoring the 39..
Quoted from ZNET:the most popular, for many years, continues to be 1972 Sega Monster Gun (nylon pellet shooter arcade with challenging physical targets and great sound effects) and 1954 Two Player Basketball (arcade), which are side-by-side in one of the photos below.
It's always enjoyable checking out your great vintage machines Bruce, and yes,
in the back room the Pellet Shooting Rifle Gallery and The Genco Basketball are the
#1 hits, then the United's 5th Inning, which to me isn't really the best Skee
Ball Shuffle player, but the most unique. The Bally "All the Way" also gets enjoyed
which is kind of an unique boggling wonder of a machine, and many of the Classic
add-a-ball Wedge Heads' bells ring much of the time..
I have known of Fire Chief, but never had seen one in action. It would be very interesting
to see a video once you have the restoration completed. I'd be looking forward to it.. (T)
Quoted from Lawnboy:Skee-ball is going to be for sale soon I think.
If I got rid of my Skee Ball, at least twice a year, there would be
multiple sets of glared eyes..
Quoted from Scar:A few pics of my basement
Very nice set up.
Is that possibly an A.E. Schmitt Pool Table?
Quoted from Vic_Camp:My father bought a used 1890's 4 1/2ft by 9ft Brunswick pool table
That's back when Brunswick was really Brunswick producing
Top Notch Tables here in America..
Quoted from ramegoom:I've been feeding my beast lately, and now it's almost maxed out.
I'd be showing up for Parties!
Quoted from JimWilks:My gamerooom is fairly basic.
That's a 13' United big ball bowler?
Quoted from JimWilks:It was a 13' Chicago Coin big ball bowler
That's right. Early 60s Chicago Coin also had that style.
Playing on a 13', then a 19', is like night and day..
I like your vintage thinking. Even rustic building materials.
Was part of the gas station built from a disassemble structure?
Quoted from hooch333:Disassembled structure?...no,..The framing is all new, but I got all the siding from a barn in Illinois.
Yea, I might have not quite worded that right. I mostly meant the siding and roofing..
I like your energetic determination!
Quoted from lurch:Hooch333, thats amazing. Just awesome.
Lets compare to my current game room.
Close, but would have to see them side by side to
make an honest opinion..
Quoted from ramegoom:Had a crowd last night, between 30 and 35 people
And I'm sure honored to be invited!
Quoted from ramegoom:Well, another one in two weeks. You're invited.
If I were closer, it would be a sure thing..
I'm meant the 30 - 35 people I'm sure were honored..
I'd like to, but for sure can't do that for the next one. I have a pretty good size one
coming up myself on the 24th. Started the preparations last week, but next week I'll be
going full force pretty much non-stop..
Quoted from ramegoom:I just recently made a custom 1/4 inch mirror for my Stoner candy machine, with a red acrylic insert "Sweet" in it.
That machine looks A1! I have a couple Stoners (not yet restored) with the one like yours
looking to be the older one. Would you happen to know if that's maybe an early to mid 50s?
Quoted from ramegoom:Mine is a 1951 with 8 pulls.
The one that I have I thought was a 7 pull, but probably 8.
The top separates from the base, right?
I believe the other one is from the late 50s and is one piece..
They're both presently kind of hidden..
Quoted from ramegoom:They made a Univendor "Lite" that had 6 pulls, and one model with 7 pulls for candy and a gum vendor on the left end.
I remember when I was a Kid (14) there was an old candy machine where I worked after school
with the 7 pull and gum/lifesaver despenser on the left..
But anyways, I got curious, went in the garage, did a little worming around, and the one that's
separated form the base is a 6 pull. I now realize the other one looks to be a 2 piece that's
together and has 8 pulls. I couldn't see it 100% clearly, but looks to be the same as yours.
I remember as a Kid, them being 10 cents a bar. The 8 pull I have reads 25 cent a bar. Maybe
it was on route for a lengthy period of time. Any idea when the 8 pulls like yours was last made?
I like them both, but maybe eventually will refurbish the smaller 6 pull. You have an idea which
may be more prefered or collectible?
Also, the 8 pull base is around 28", and the top close to 43". Assuming the same as yours..
Quoted from Pinbee:Seems like the 6 pull "Junior" is the most desirable among collectors.
That's good to know, and since it's the easiest one to get to, I think maybe next
Winter (probably late Fall) I'll work on the 6 pull. I'm out of room, but it's small enough.
I'll find a spot for her..
Quoted from ramegoom:Good news is, you can put it in the middle of a room.
At times, a non-electric game absolutely has advantages, but even for this one here that I just took
out of the barn last month after sitting there a dozen years or so took some time to figure where to put.
For some time I've had an eye out for a nice vintage 40s or 50s one, but no luck. This one's not anything
really special, but I'll bet they'll be a few that choose not to walk past without giving it a try..
It looks like the 8 pull that I have has a taller base than the 51 and 54 models at 28" Upper is 43"
Maybe a later model. The exposed glass of the mirror is 18"..
Yeah, I see the 54's locking front door, but both 51 and 54 bases look to be less than half the height
of the top. The base on the one that I have is well more than half the top at 28" (or there about).
I can't really take a good pic of it. How tall is your base. Looks much shorter than mine, and maybe
different than the 54..
I was thinking maybe the mirror on mine was shorter since the top appears to be..
On the 6 pull, the base and top measures the same as the 8 pull at relatively 28 and 43"
Quoted from ramegoom:I know some of them are taller, and it is all in the base.
Okay, perhaps bases were an option for every year where the shorter base would be more
comfortable in places where Kids would most likely be the ones putting in the coins and pulling the
levers. I was thinking the taller bases came out later, but after just watching a 1941 Stoner
on youtube, the base (along with the rest) looks the same as my 6 pull, but had a mint despencer
on the left side. Looks like those machines haven't changed much right through the years..
I have some master keys laying around, but most likely I'll be drilling out the locks. It'll be
interesting in check out their years..
Quoted from ramegoom:I'd bet your machine has eight pulls, with the left pull for the gum selector.
Oh, my mistake. I switched it up a little bit. We were talking about the 8 pull, that's right.
The 1941 Stoner youtube video looked to be just like my 6 pull, except it had a mint
selector on the left side. It appeared to have the taller base as both my 8 and 6 pulls
have.
I remember as a kid, a machine with a 6 pull, and 7th on the left for gum and lifesavers.
Both would work in the gun selection. Did they make a 7 pull with an 8th being for gum?
I don't remember seeing them..
Quoted from ramegoom:They probably make them in both designs.
Your probably right, and after further checking other pics, looks like they made them
all the way with 10 pulls, and an 11th for gum..
I've posted some pics elsewhere of machines, but I believe none in this thread. Here's a
quick video that a Friend sent me of last Saturday's gathering that he shot before the party
got going. There's more machines that I really would like to have set up, but at the present
there's no more comfortable space for any others..
And buy the way, the gathering went well.. (T)
Quoted from Parkshow30:and my weight room set up for arm wrestling
I'm in for a challenge, and
btw, I think I could get into playing that Rebound Shuffle..
Quoted from jidorman:Here's the progression of my game room 3 weeks in to a full house renovation.
I do respect that type of determination. Keep us up to date..
Quoted from dudah:Complete with a whole basement to fill with toys.
With such a nice basement, I'm sure you're proud of the rest of the house..
Quoted from merccat:here they are ultra rare.
Pool Tables in homes are rare there? It looks like a solid machine. Any manufacturing label?
The basement has a walk out, or is that maybe the reason the table was left behind?
That's a nice looking set up you have Wayner. I like the
seating area..
Ball Bowlers are always a highlight in a Game Room.
In that one photo, one thing looks a little off on the
bowler itself. You spot it?
Quoted from wayner:I assume you are referring to the scores/frames which reflect when I was part manually testing machine particularly 6th player. Yes I should have reset after testing to preserve machine pic integrity.
Oh, I see. I figured the machine was shut off and back on after the 3rd frame, but right, I wasn't sure about
the 6th Player's score..
The machines in my game room only play regulation (which is usually the most popular), but on a Chicago
Coin I have set up elsewhere, I always liked playing Dual Flash..
I also wouldn't mind seeing additional pics of your room (and machines)..
And BTW: Your Bowler's a 16 footer, right?
Quoted from ramegoom:Nothing says game room like a video.
Now that's a game room I certain would have a nice time at..
How many sq. ft. do you have there? I presently have around
2,200, and yours seems to be larger.. Plenty of room for additional
things besides Pins/Arcades..
Quoted from ramegoom:And it's never big enough.
I understand exactly what you're saying..
My first goal was to make the upstair's addition into a home theater,
but Friends ask how often are you going to watch a movie. Set those
other machines up. And I have to agree. There's many more I have
that I really would like to have set up.
I have another 1,200 sq., but presently this is what it looks like. No room
to even drywall. Not what I attended, but all other storage is full. I need
to export some machines..
Quoted from Buzz:You could export that Night Ridder to my house.
Yes, I had the Night Rider once set up and during gatherings, it did
get its share of play. I do need to let a few dozen machines go, but
the N.R. I'll probably be keeping around..
Quoted from stavio:I guess the game room will have to expand upstairs...
Upstairs it must be, but what caught my eye is the 1,000s score reels almost looks like
a 1 might light once 999's been flipped, but with "Strike 90", it's possible to get 2,000
plus points. They must have all the numbers but 0?
Those 60s Shuffles I like much better than the later ones with the smaller score reels..
Quoted from ZNET:When your gameroom is your unfinished basement, such are the challenges.
If you had a Pinball Gathering, I think I would make the trip..
Quoted from DylanFan71:If games are going to be directly across from each other, what is a good space to have.
With EMs, I have around 165" wall to wall, and like 58" in between games leaving me plenty of space
to walk backwards while sliding the glass out with a few inches to spare..
Quoted from hooch333:Just got the pool finished in front of the arcades.
Looks great! Nice job.
I have a 1963 Bally Bowler same as yours. Needs much work, but all is there.
How do you like its game play? Have you played an United Bowlerama/MBA?
If so, how would you compare?
I finally got around to clean and clear up one of the barns to have the space to transfer
games and items from the upstairs addition so I have the space to finish it off and
restore and set up more machines. I have plenty of machines that I had stored for
20/25 years to set up and fill the room..
I didn't take before pics, but just last month you literally needed to step over objects
in order to make it thru and to the other end of that barn.
Quoted from d0n:What are we looking at? A gameroom or a storage barn?
Both. A barn and a 3rd upcoming gameroom.
Quoted from Dan1733:There is still some candy in the machine if you need energy to move the games around.
Haha. The Candy Machine was givin' to me with no keys. Money's in there, but probably
mostly memorials.
Quoted from EJS:I’d be going after the beer first
When picking up a 1/4 or 1/2 keg, I bring an empty along to save a trip..
Quoted from punkin:Love that space at the back. Calling out for a bar.
That would be a nice area to have a bar, but the thing is, much of the right side
is the stairway to the downstairs' game room, and on the left is a window to the
spare bedroom which will be converted into a doorway. A bar would have been nice..
Quoted from Yelobird:I see a Scientific Batting Practice lined up for the new room nice! One of the favorites in our home arcade. Just don't see games like this often.
Early on when I first got into the hobby I received a call from a Pennysaver wanted ad I put out
and someone needed machines moved. It looked cool, but I had no idea what it was and I bought
a Batting Practice for $10.00 along with a few other machines for very cheap. Stupidly I traded it. I found
another one that was apart, but complete for $200.00. I then knew a little better and traded that one
for 5 machines including a Skill Roll before Skill Rolls were well known.
The one I have now I paid a pretty good buck for and I'll be keeping it. I still kick myself for not
hanging onto the first one which was in about the same condition as this one.
How do you like it's game play? A couple Springs ago I restored a Keeney's League Leader which
many seems to like..
Quoted from Grandnational007:Yeah, but that Ringer though!
I presently have 3 stand up machines set up and mostly all like Skill Roll best,
but for me it's Ringer..
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:I'd also go 20a for the circuits.
There's no debate on 20 amp. 15 amp is almost obselete for new construction.
$1,500.00 or more spent at Lowes got me 22% off. Made 250' of 12 gauge even
cheaper. I have an inside phone booth, and made sure I also ran that wire while
the studs were still exposed..
Quoted from ReadyPO:Ceiling drywall up, that's a major milestone
Yes, and 12 footers. 90% of the walls finished also.
The pellet stove will get ceramic tile, but still deciding on
the rest of the floor..
Quoted from yaksplat:I would plan on setting up ceiling outlets in certain areas though over areas that might be islands.
Yup, ceiling outlets are almost a must for centered located machines.
For me, in the basement one 20A for the machines in the center did
the trick, so I'm doing the same upstairs..
Here's the rest of the room as it presently looks.
It might seem like a mess, but nothing what it looked like in early
Fall before I cleared out one of the barns to make enough space
to move most of the machines to be able to work around the remaining..
IMG_0347 (resized).JPGIMG_0348 (resized).JPGIMG_0349 (resized).JPGIMG_1454 (resized).JPG
Quoted from Chosen_S:this is NOT a political video
For me it made it one of the best game rooms in this thread,
which gave me the idea I'll be putting up my flag in my additional game room
which is presently at a semi standstill. The Wu Flu virus crap is delaying the
hardwood order, but still came quite a ways from what it looked like last Fall..
Quoted from MVCO:My pride and joy accumulated over the last 30 years.
I have a couple Stoner Candy machines and had a nice original 7 pull Stoner Cigarette machine
which I traded off, but if I came up with a more vintage 5 puller, I'd have to keep it..
Very nice 30 year set up..
Yesterday my neighbor and I installed partial of the brick wall in the corner the
Pellet Stove will be going, and now at a stand still. To insure it'll come out close
to exact, I can't go any further until the hardwood flooring comes in which suppose
to be the 12th, but then again.
I'm putting down Affinity porcelain tile for the flooring. Being .38" (about 3/8"),
and with the 1/4" hardi back and thin set, it should match up pretty darn close to
the 3/4" flooring. Even have the base board stained, and now just waiting..
Although I have quite a few EM Arcades, when I built the addition, I designed it for pinballs
and with a row on the left and right, from rear of back box to rear of back box it turned out to be
13' and a couple inches which is plenty of space for not only pulling the glass, but 2 players back to
back and room for a 3rd person to walk in between (providing it's not like a 3 ring circus freak show
lady). As far as space alone, as many will agree, when you think there's enough, that thought
more than not is short lived..
To avoid a staircase in the basement, I put up concrete blocks to form like a 5' inside square,
then before going further up with the breezeway blocks, I lowered a used oil tank in the 5' square
for the basics of a circular stairway. It saved room in the house and much in the basement, and
yes, I do have a walkout in the basement..
Still pecking away with the addition's upstairs. Better than 1/3 of the hardwood flooring's down,
and thin set the bricks in last week, and did the porcelin ceramic floor tile today..
Secondpity, what a great purchase for tools (and many other items). Pretty much half price.
DeWalt floor nailer $140.00, Porter cable pancake compressor with Finish nailer, Brad nailer, and
pin nailer $129.00 They have to sell their merchandise as used because the box was opened, but
realistically brand new.. Free shipping..
btw: I haven't seen any Stern Pinballs for $3,750.00 because the box was opened. At least not yet..
Finished the last piece of the hardwood on the additional game room last weekend, and now
finishing up the trim around the staircase. Next will be the staircase's railing, then staining, and
still have to wrap the beam supporting the roof. Won't be too long for clean up. These machines
(plus others in the barn) I'll have set up..
IMG_0412 (resized).JPGIMG_0416 (resized).JPG
Quoted from PinPickle:I would love to see my kids reaction if they seen that. WTF is that dad?
I also have an outside phone booth down at the pond.
When a Kid walks by, I'll ring the phone, and their eyes open
wide. Some will answer, and that's when the fun begins.. haha..
Quoted from dirkdiggler:That's awesome! I recently bought a 90s payphone from my hometown and waiting till I can find a authentic booth to put it in. However after seeing your pics I might build a custom booth myself. Well done sir
Thanks! Years back, I got a little lucky. It kinda fell from the sky.
A Friend calls and ask if I could use a phone booth, $600.00
I asked "does it have a phone. He said Yup. I said sold and a couple hours
later it was delivered to my door. I think he bought out the contents of an
old building..
A couple weeks ago I turned a Friend on to one that was fairly local for $850.00
If he didn't want it, I was going to grab it. It'd be a great trading piece..
If you can find just the booth (even without the phone) for under $1,000.00,
you'd make out okay.
Quoted from investingdad:“don’t forget a bedroom and full bathroom with shower, you’ll want that”.
No bedroom in mine, but since the back of the basement is ground level (no pump needed) the
bathroom proved to be a huge plus. In Summer there's outdoor events. Sometimes campers. The
stand up shower also is a plus and doesn't really take up that much floor space..
Quoted from punkin:I spake as a child,
Now did you get spanked like a child, or spoke like a child? haha
btw: I'll always be a Kid. At least part time..
Anyways, not that it matters so much, but a few post ago I stated that my phone booth was working
100%. Well unknowingly, not quite true.
When a dime wasn't in the machine, all phones rang fine, but you couldn't make a call from the payphone.
When a dime was dropped in, just the opposite. Could make a call, but as long as the dime didn't fall in the
coin box or coin return and remained inside the payphone's hopper, none of my landline phones would ring
when there were incoming calls..
Well I talked to a couple of the payphone Big Boys. They said that for the dime to drop, the operator would
push a button to drop it in the coin box, or to drop it in the coin return if there was a busy signal. When either
one of those buttons were pushed, it would increase the DC voltage to 48V energizing the coil(s) to drop
the coin. I could have rigged it so the receiver's handle axle activated a make/break switch, but yesterday
afternoon and this morning, with a Ball Bowler's transformer and bridge rectifier, I fabricated it so when the
receiver is hung up, a blade swipes and energizes a wiper board which energized the coil to drop the dime in
the coin box..
I also spliced in a switch to turn off the transformer when not in use, but the phone will still work, just that
the dime won't drop without the switch on..
btw: I was able to make the transformer board small enough so it fit hidden nicely up above where the ceiling
light and fan are..
And a couple pics of the two DC coils. The booth is a 1963, but I was told that the Gray Western phone is between
1926 and 1930.
IMG_0427 (resized).JPGIMG_0428 (resized).JPGIMG_0429 (resized).JPG
IMG_0401 (resized).JPGIMG_0424 (resized).JPG And the first machine up a running in the additional game room.
Unlike the other 2 ball bowlers, this one has multiple games, and also because
I much needed the space in the garage where this was stored for I believe 23 years,
are a couple of the reasons I set this one up. But in addition, mostly because in the
Hometown Tavern (Big bar. Converted from an old full size Theater) is where the Fellas and
I had the best times from any of the other ball bowlers elsewhere. Great memories.
Back in (I believe 1998) when taking it out of the bar, I brought in home, freshened it up,
and the sections been stood up and parked in the garage ever since.
After inspecting the head's components and seeing all was free, a Friend and I set it
up, and trouble shooting was at a minimum to get her functioning 100%.

Quoted from mcuzz:I can see a bowling ball going through that window.
Haha, The old timers use to put screen covers over the backglass. Back then 16 year olds got
drunk in bars. I think I'll be okay. When there's kids, any of them under 12 isn't allowed anything
above 4.6%
Quoted from littlecammi:I'd say your choice, but I don't think I can make it tonight after all.
Oh, I was almost 100% I thought I knew what your response was going to be.. haha..
Quoted from pinballslave:Games room is developing a distinct chaotic feel...
Anyways, what's those 2 heads far right? Yellow and black, and the other red and blue lines?
I think I have both of those games..
Quoted from pinballslave:Target Alpha and Bowling Queen.
No Target, but I have Bowling Queen..
Quoted from pinballslave:I have the complete TA, but only the head of BQ...
I'm wondering if there's another head's graphic's that's similar to TA.
I'm still thinking I had seen that at one time in one of the barns..
Quoted from aFineMoose:I think it looks so much better now,
Quoted from Nepi23:Really nice view outside the windows!
Yea, take a couple pics of the view..
Quoted from pinballslave:Games room is filling up.
I get the feeling your game room is going to hold a lot of pins..
Quoted from drummermike:I was wondering where my radio went.
The person (really nice guy) that I got the radio from gave this other guy my email because he wants
that particular model to match his other badly. I kept saying I'd like to help, but sorry. I'm not a flipper
"AT ALL!", but he offered what I couldn't refuse, and now it looks like I'm going to be picking up a
1937 RCA that maybe doesn't quite have the sound, but it is a little fancier. Maybe next week. I'll post a pic..
Quoted from pinballslave:maybe I could go for a slot in the Guiness book of World Records..
Your Guiness record may have a little competition. At one time, this was my next game room, but that didn't
quite work out as planned. Hard to see, but believe me. 40' deep, rows of 5 on each side..
Quoted from pinballslave:Jolly Park wasn't able to sustain the weight of the Masquerade head on it and when I got home from work yesterday
Oh damn!
If you still have so much open space left, why do you need to consolidate so much?
You have it lined up that that many more machines is shortly coming in?
Quoted from pinballslave:each game needs to be checked for mice,
Yea, I board off the head's opening, tape off the coin return, and once in a while those
mice still find a way in. When taking them out of storage, I vacuum and Lysol the hell
out of them..
Here's how I store my games to make sure the head doesn't fall off..
Haha. Actually, this one's waiting to be picked up to go coast to coast..
Well, a little switch up in the upper game room. A gentleman wanted the GE floor model radio badly,
so I replaced it with a 1939 RCA. The RCA's taller, so instead of in front of the window, I placed it next
to the phone booth..
The GE picked up more stations and I did like those wooden fins in front of the speaker, but I still maybe
think the RCA's a better looker..
Perhaps partially because it's a two player machine (which is always nice in a game room) but I took the Scoreboard
out of a Friend's restaurant and replaced it with an Extra Inning primarily because of it being low production.
This machine was a mess when I got it in years back. I had the backglass made, and back then I didn't have the backing
placed on them, so I'm going to have that done next..
It has a different rule set than its cousin Base Hit, and when checking for schematics, Steve said Wow, a low production
machine. It took a little time, but Mike Pacak was able to dig one out for me..
There are better playing Pitch & Bats, but I only know of one other Scoreboard, so I'll be keeping it around..
Quoted from twenty84:My friends at BuffaloPinball dropped by over the weekend and filmed a tour of my game room
This game room's in Pittsford, N.Y.?
Being associated with BuffaloPinball, my guess
would be at times you have gatherings?
Quoted from bonzo442:That’s what I love about Klipsch you can upgrade an already great speaker.
Klipsch are #1 for me. I have 2 pair of Heresys in the game room drivin' by a NAD (Nad's a pretty decent receiver).
A pair of Cornwells in the living room (maybe too much speaker for the living room) drivin' by a Mcintosh, and
a pair of LaScalas for the outdoor events drivin' by a high output Yamaha. Those LaScalas Auditorium Theater speakers really
fill the air..
Quoted from xsvtoys:looking back, I feel sorry for our neighbors.
Yea, during outings, it's almost a must for me to invite the surrounding neighbors.
The Cornwells (even the Heresys) were fine for outdoors, but awhile back after a
couple weeks seeing a pair of LaScalas still for sale for $1,000.00 (a couple hours away),
I decided to check them out. I was there for maybe a half hour still deciding and the guy
said to stand at the end of the driveway, and he'll turn them up. It was in a residential area
but a long driveway. He cranked those things up and the wife with her curlers in her hair
and all start screaming as she was running down the porch steps "You S.O. a god damn Bitch.
You're going to have the god damn cops over here!!". That right there was the decidtion maker.
Those speakers were sold..
Well, after going through 10 machines (on and off) during late Spring and Summer, it's time
to concentrate once again on the latest game room.
The Pellet Stove's in position, and next will be a little fabrication for a (hopefully semi-camouflage)
stand for the little rotating Merry-go-Round that I picked up over the Summer which will be sitting
above the Pellet Stove..
Over the weekend I built a stand and put a revolving Merry-go-Round (that I picked
up over the Summer) above the pellet stove. I'm 100% EM and know nothing about
sound components but the 1956 "Peppy the Clown" I have has a modern sound device
to play its music..
I'm sure this is a ridiculous question to many, but what's an easy inexpensive way to
record and add Carousel music to the Merry-go-Round? Thanks for any suggestions.. (T)
Quoted from MrMikeman:Not plug-and-play but fairly easy to setup.
Thanks. I'll be checking that out..
Quoted from cait001:if you need any I have some recordings of old mechanical music machines that might be a good thematic fit
Sounds good. Thanks. I'll 100% be keeping that in mind..
Quoted from ramegoom:Stuff a hockey puck Alexa inside it, then just say "Alexa, play carousel music".
Good thought , but I must say, my first request will be "Where can I locate a Ski-Bowlette!"
Quoted from DarthPaul:It looks like your stove is very close to the wall, also where I come from, you should have at least 18"of fireproof flooring in front of it. It could get very warm above the stove for that carousel, I wouldn't place it there.
Pellet Stoves have different restrictions. The forced air heat exits from the front. While in operation, the one
in the lower game room I can place my hand on the sides for a while. On the top, as long as I want.. This one's
the exact same make and model..
Quoted from marioparty34:Everyone would pay $5 (for fun) and get 5 mins on the machine.
This is the only Slot I have. I think it's 1938 and this is a little similar..
Whoever's in gets 5 nickels and throws in a buck. Whoever has the most nickels
after 5 pulls each, gets the pot. If no one wins any nickels or there's a tie, everyone's
still in and throws in another buck doubling up the pot..
Quoted from ZooDude:So I actually am quite curious if you guys with large custom game rooms are including a urinal
When I was constructing the basement's bathroom (considered full. Toilet, sink, stand up shower, urinal, hand dryer) a Friend
said he had a Friend that had a urinal. How much. I'll let you know. Couple days later he said if you bring a 12 pack and drink
it with him, you can have the urinal. 6 beers each later, I was installing a urinal with zero regrets..
The fellas use it 100% of the time, and once in a while I'm thinking a Chick will lift a leg..
Quoted from CaptainNeo:here is a video walkthrough I did sometime back. G
Beautiful layout along with a Team Ball Bowler. Can't quite tell if that's a split alley or not..
I keep saying I need to stop building game rooms, but if I did another, maybe not Pirate Theme,
but I'm thinking it would have a rustic look..
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:Something about EM's is captivating. The art, the sound.
Yes, those 60s bells!
At times, on one machine, after playing, turning it off, and opening the door to exit the room. It's faint,
but the sound of the large bell is still in the air..
Quoted from KingBW:Here's a recent tour of my unfinished basement.
Best unfinished basement I remember seeing..
He was a 17 year old kid when Stevie Tyler
wrote that song..
Quoted from bob_e:just one problem I'm about 35 million short..
After paying the 1st years taxes I'd be qualified for Social Services..
Quoted from pinballslave:Anyone know what that long table thing is in front of the pins?
It's a Shuffle Board table but not sure on the length.
I'm thinking tournament size which is 22 ft..
Quoted from Gornkleschnitzer:My grandma had saved them for all this time.
I'm like your Grandma. Anything with any meaning, I can not throw away..
I had been cutting pieces of sample carpet I picked up from a Friend that
has a business, but lately I've been using these pads for the game room with
the hardwood flooring. Instead of depending only on the stickim, I've been
contact cementing them on and so far, so good. I'll probably use them for
the ceramic tile flooring also..

Quoted from MoSeS_1592:I believe the traffic light is from the 70's but if anyone here knows any way of identifying models I'd be very curious to know.
I could be mistaken, but I believe traffic lights including arrows came
out in the mid to late 70s.
Here's one I picked up in the 90s. I'm thinking it's from the late 50s/
early 60s.
I remember back in the 90s, one in my home town having the word
"GO" embossed in the green lenses, and "STOP" in the red. That one
must have been older.
This one's around 3' tall. Pretty big (and pretty heavy) for the game room.
One of these days, I'd like to have it operating and set up outdoors..
