Just reloacted to a new house and my wife said I get the entire basement to myself.
Here’s what I get to work with:

Here’s where Im headed:

Mind the aspects, it’s hard to find decent starting photos to work with.
One of the goals is to one day get MM alone in the middle of the dungeoney brick wall.
Quoted from AUKraut:Looks great, but lose those overhead spotlights, they will cause nothing but glare. Indirect dimmable lighting works best......
Yeah I wasn’t sure what to do with lighting. I thought adjustable track would be best?
Otherwise yeah, I should be able to fit 8 comfortably on the long wall and 4 on the short wall. I’d also like to get a 4player multicade for those other folk.

Hoping to start chippin away at the walls over the next few weeks. Floor in the spring after we see if we flood again or not
Quoted from GimpMaster:What did you use to design this?
Just photoshop. The hardest part was finding flooring pictures at somewhat the right angle and similar color.
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:Suggestion: put a bubble hockey where the trash can and mini-fridge is
That's the plan down the road!
I'd like to have a pin from each major evolution, one multi-cade stand up and done hockey.
Quoted from jawjaw:Newish lineup. Fish Tales newest member. I've had it for a few months but finally got the glass back on after working on it all that time.

Love the white framing on the walls, really sparking some ideas over here!
Quoted from Lymes:My game rooms are spread out a bit. Champion Pub and Super Chex in my basement, Indy and TOM next door at my parents, and my system 11s are at the office...[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Nice dude, when’s the next office party!?
Quoted from Pugsley:Just get one of them pinball machine fish tanks?
TWD topper comes to mind. A bit small of a tank, but a new pin and she gets an aquarium. Sounds like a good compromise to me!
Quoted from Roostking:Looking at this thread is cool and depressing at the same time. Very inspirational, if i ever win the lottery, depressing cause I never will lol
Just another case of Epic vs Reality.
Cuz I can tell you mine always looks like a dumpster fire between project pins, project floors, walls, lighting and so on and never enough cash to dedicate to finishing anything!
Who’s half cooked with me!?

It's been a long time coming, but I finally feel like room is in an acceptable state!
Bought the house in 2018 and had this to work with:

After a little Photoshopping, I had a rough idea of what direction I wanted to go:

So hard to see everyone's killer game rooms day after day for months - YEARS on end when the reality of mine was always under construction:
Never Done (resized).jpg
Finally got my ass in gear and did the flooring, finished the walls, swapped out the lights, put up corrugated steel for the wainscoting, and a rough cut cedar drink ledge. Dropped in a new 40A circuit for the games and picked up a couple new titles along the way.

Room for 1 more game comfortably on the long wall or 2 with a little wiggle room.
Opposite side, short wall can fit another 3-4 down the road!
Feels good to officially join the game room club!
Quoted from Slacker_Quacker:My humble lineup. I like to think of it as a poor man's pinball museum. Just need a bingo and a DMD.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I was going to do this too - One of every major generation. Looks good!
Couple new additions to the game room!
Revamped the Pintastic logo, print, cnc’d and mounted mid-stairwell.

Joined the show us your door club with a custom build. Was hoping the lights of the games would glow through, but it turned out a bit too frosted.

Framed flyer posters with a couple details. Got a blank one on the end where the old lady immediately asked ‘well what, you settin’ yourself up for another pin?’ Seed planted

Quoted from Irishbastard:Cool! Is it sad that I thought it said "Butt hole" , not one but twice?
Nope, it’s great if you say it every time!
Pulled it from The Good Place. Pretty clever, I love it.
iScored is the best!
Cheap app. Found a 30” touchscreen monitor for like $100 and I’m set.
It’s great to keep track of your personal best.
Then when non pinhead friends come over, it quickly becomes motivating for them to learn some rules or strategy to beat their other buddies. This app actually converted some buds to get right into pinball past - ‘keep the shiny thing above the flippy things’

I found my monitor on marketplace, it's a Dell Inspiron One 2350. 23" sorry. I'd love to get a 40" touchscreen TV or something to mount on a wall, but this thing fits perfectly in this nook above the beer fridge.
Another thing that's nice about the app is that you can set up a blank copy of your collection for a tournament night.
Quoted from TheBananaPeel69:how do u do that
?
So under Lineup in the settings menu, make a duplicate of each game but give it a tag. I tag all my duplicates ‘Sip & Flip’.
Then when the boys comes over, we session for a couple hours trying to beat our current personal bests.
Then when it’s tournie time I click the tag icon at the top, deselect that line up, then select Sip & Flip and we’re good! Note you have to delete the score after the tourny so its fresh for next time, but I believe personal bests still save on the master list some how.
The one slightly annoying thing is, when you first log into your game room, ALL your tagged rooms show up. So you need to go up top, and deselect all the additional ones until it only shows your master list.
