Quoted from MustangPaul:Looks good. So how many more pins are you planning on getting? How big is the other room?
It's an odd sized room and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. 9'x10'6" with 12' ceiling. Plenty of room for my future SW topper.
Quoted from twoplays25c:Say, I love the green in your Asteroids marquee.
I believe that's a standard 28" fluro bulb in there - so does it have a green mask or color gel up there to give it those cool green tones, vs. the standard whitish look?
Great room too, BTW!
Thanks for the compliment! It's just the standard white bulb with the original marquee. I think it's the UV blacklight giving it the green tone in the picture.
Quoted from MANTO1975:Is that carpet or tiles?
cheers
It's carpet from Astro Mills in the Starz pattern. I was very happy with their customer service.
Quoted from Saltimbanco:Love that fluorescent carpet and that super nice combination of pins and classic arcades! Who's goalie sticks are they?
Thank you. The sticks were signed by a local USHL team. I won a couple charity auctions bids. Probably the best player to sign is David Backes who has had a nice NHL career.
Quoted from Ceckitti:Whats your PPD & MPR?
Not very good. Just a casual player these days.
Quoted from StoneyFL:I decided to go with https://astrocarpetmills.com/recolor_carpet/465/ for our arcade/theater lobby and home theater carpet (thanks for the recommendations!) Minimum order was 600 square feet, which worked perfectly for me. I got the UV lights installed this week, now I just need to find an installer and get the carpet ordered.
For those who have had patterned carpet installed, I'm curious if you had it direct glued to the sub-floor, or if you used padding? The person I spoke with at Astro suggested that no padding should be used. I'm also curious about how how y'all went about finding a qualified installer. My understanding is that these types of carpets can be tricky (due to the patterns), and I want it done right.
Thanks!
Mine is on a basement concrete floor. We glued down a carpet pad and had the carpet installed with tack strips. It's a commercial grade carpet that doesn't stretch like most residential carpets but it still worked with the pad. I'm happy with the results.
Quoted from Viggin900:All the reviews say they don't last? I would like something like these but none of them last very long apparently.
I use these and the reviews are decent and they look great in my room.
