Been at my place for many years, and never had a good room for Pinballs. Years of pleading with the wife and she relented and said I could remodel the walk-in closet the previous owner had built in our basement. So, this is now this. (before and after pics. Sold the Legos, paid for a pin...)

Well, a few months work turned our basement closet into my new gameroom. Before and after pics. Hmmm, something about those 4 Sterns all lined up. What could it be? I just can't put my finger on it. Oh yeah. That's it. Need to trade the Mando for an AIQ. Anyone interested.

Pics before, remodel, and after in order:

Did you sell all the legos?

    Nearly all of them, yes.

Holy mother of pinball! Wow, just wow. Is that 2 of the same table (can't tell which one) in the back row of your pic?

It was time to ditch the god-awful pink walls and yellow ceiling in my recently coverted gameroom (remnants from prior owners). You'd think repainting a room would go fast? Ugh. This is a weeks worth of prep and painting. Room looks totally different now. Biggest change is a proper, white ceiling which doesn't cast ugly yellow light everywhere.

Had to paint in 2 parts, as moving the pins out of the room wasn't really an option. I was reminded how painting textured ceilings sends paint splatter everywhere.

Acoustics in this room benefit from sound-absorbing wall panels, as you'll see below.

Here's some before, during, and after pics.

And a fun really-before pic, this was a large closet that I converted.

    Quoted from yzfguy:

Wow, that was pink! We had one wall of pink I my daughter's room when she was younger. Took several coats of Kilz to fix that!

Paint has come a long way the last few decades. Combined paint/primer, etc. This was basically a one-coat job with some light touchup. Amazing, actually. Paint today is basically the consistency of pudding.

    Quoted from briyau15:

Not too shabby. What color/brand paint is that?

Behr. Home Depot's main brand. We used Behr Premium Plus for this job.

Thought some might like a few pics of my very old gameroom from about 20 years ago. I installed a ceilng-hung G-scale train layout in the entire bottom level of my old home. It had a total of 8 different trains that came out in sequence, all computer controlled. Fairly advanced for the time. Decent selection of pins, too. MM, MB, SS, RFM, and LoTR. I took down the train system prior to selling the house in 2014.
