Built a game room that we were using as a shop to basically store junk. It’s not quite finished but all it’s missing are a few details. I would like a multi-cade but I’m strapped for space so a full cabinet is out of the question, so looking for a solution where I can just plug into the tv.

    Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

    Looks great!
Check out Pandora's Box if you want a multicade where you can just plug into the TV you can order that's plug and play (and cheap).

Lots of people make pedestals you can plug into a regular TV. Check Craigslist/local Facebook Marketplace once a week for a few months and something good and cheap will come up.

Thanks, I looked at Pandoras Box and Home Retro but I can't find any solid reviews about them. All the systems in that Amazon link look like scams but maybe my expectations are too high for that price point. I want to play NBA Jam, Street Fighter, MK, Gauntlet... etc without a bunch of lag or choppiness

    Quoted from hlaj78:

Can you put a cocktail style multicade directly under the TV?

I've considered it but I want to try something else first.

    Quoted from Aurich:

Pandora's box is utter shit is my honest answer. I have nothing good to say about it, every aspect of it is trash. Poorly made Chinese bootleg nonsense.

Yeah, from what I've seen on Pandora it was pretty hit or miss on games.

    Quoted from Aurich:

The real answer is there's no magic box of lots of games that works amazing and easily and has every title you want.
My real advice is this: stop worry about quantity and just get a game or two you enjoy. Multigames are primarily a waste of time in my experience, which very few people actually use to any great extent. 3000 games you don't care about is easily trumped by a single title you really like and want to fire up or share with people.

A couple of my friends have MAME cabinets that execute a library of games flawlessly, but I was trying to avoid spending that kind of dough. I think there is a solution for me it's just not going to be cheap and being that my primary interest is pinball, I don't want to pull too many resources away from that, I was just trying to offer something different. I had an MK 3, but it just consumed too much room.

I guess a gaming PC and 2 tank sticks or 4 MAYFLASH controllers is the way to go.
